The project entailed the migration of an initial 4,000+ users and then another 16,000 to Exchange 5.5 (and later to Exchange 2000) from TAO Mainframe mail system, and the First Class message system. It involved designing, architecture and implementation of Windows 2000 in preparation for Exchange 2000. Introduced and built Microsoft Cluster Server as a solution for high availability, scalability, and redundancy. Dell Computers SAN 3.0 was used on the basis of responsiveness and dependability. The technologies involved were Windows 95, Excel 97, Digital VAX, HP UNIX, and PEOPLESOFT GLS. Upgraded Excel 4.0 code to Excel 97 Wrote test scripts for evaluating the Financial Consolidation System performance. Created distribution media using Install Shield 5.0 (Web based and CD Rom) Extensive use of PERL Script for interaction of UNIX to Windows NT. A review and recommendation of specific WAN security options was also done. Additionally, Microsoft Message Queue Server was presented as a solution for the replacement of the VAX.
