U.S. Schwan’s is the nation’s largest direct-to-home food delivery provider. It
markets and distributes more than 300 frozen food products under the Schwan’s

existing Mainframe hardware and moving all of its applications presently

Project: E-HIMS is HIPAA complaint one stop solution
for US healthcare market. E-HIMS is J2EE based n-tier application. This
application consists of 8 different modules to cater the need of Physician
Practices and Hospitals (Providers). The features integrated in e-HIMS are
organized under the different modules: Scheduling, Registration, Case
Management, Billing, Credentialing, Inventory, Administration and Security. Scheduling
module assists the scheduler in managing patient appointments for any type of
visit. Registration module provides for the capture of patient information at
the time of a patient’s visit to a facility. Case Management module helps track
clinical events related to a case by providing for the maintenance of detailed
information on a gamut of aspects such as services rendered, procedures
performed, medicines administered, equipment used, staff involved, and
standing/ additional orders authorized and fulfilled. Billing module helps the
biller to manage the financial responsibilities of charges at different points
in the billing cycle. E-HIMS supports four billing formats: UB-92, HCFA-1500,
837-P and 837-I. Credentialing module provides support for the complete
personnel recruitment and credentialing cycle. Inventory module provides
support for key aspects of inventory management including requisitions,
purchases and vendor payments. Administration module caters to the requirements
related to the set-up of organization structure, and the definition of material
resources at different organizational nodes (facility, department, etc.).
Security module provides system security features that ensure that access to
the system is restricted to authorized personnel only.
