formulating a design of the proposed solution. Produced blueprints depicting
Oracle BI and its integration details with the following configuration items:

Shares and Cisco load balancing for multiple servers / nodes. System was
successfully implemented on time and in budget. The company is currently
realizing significant support savings which was previously paid annually to BO.

Steered Leading-Edge EPM (BPT) rollout:The VP of
the Financial Planning Group launched a high visibility fast-track initiative
to implement Oracle Hyperion EPM (Enterprise Performance Management) Version 11
- for migration of their processes to an adaptive budget and rolling forecast.
The deployment coupled home grown operational data stores with Essbase Analytics
and Hyperion components running in Weblogic containers. Directed overall
technology strategy from the ground up while juggling mixed agendas from Oracle
Consulting Services (OCS) and Ernst & Young (E&Y Delivery Team) to
deduce an overall architecture that meets the needs of all implementers and
stakeholders. Conducted extensive

stacks for various environments including but not limited to the following: HP
/ HP-UX, Sun / Solaris and IBM / AIX. Procured 3 HP Superdomes, 2 Sun E20000’s
and 3 IBM 670’s as the platforms of choice to replace 25+ servers. New machines
were clustered (Sun Cluster, Veritas Cluster, BEA Clustering) together in
multi-node configurations and laid out in n-tier architectures. Applications
were ported onto new systems leveraging discrete domains, virtual partitions and
micro-partitions. Old Systems were retired and support charges reduced by $3M
per annum.

Reduced level of effort for projects requiring
interfaces to external entities (e.g. Partners) by 33%. Facilitated white board
sessions with Developers and Subject Matter Experts that proved XML coupled
with SOAP, JMS and BEA WLI to be the method of choice. Determined capacity of
proposed system and procured IBM P650 Servers and EMC SOD / COD hardware for
housing the application. Recommended servers be setup in a HA configuration
using Veritas Cluster Services and Global Load Balancing (Cisco Switches) for
Disaster Recovery. Presented design methodology and potential cost savings
(funding model) to the business unit.
