well as PA-RISC rp3440 and rp7420 servers running HP-UX 11.11. Responsibilities also include installing and
maintaining nearly 100 linux servers running mostly Novell SuSE Enterprise
Linux 10.2 and some RedHat servers running RHEL 3-5. All of the HP-UX servers have ServiceGuard

SuSElinux servers also have ServiceGuard for linux version 11.18 and Veritas
Cluster Server 5.x. Installation of
various software components such as BMC controlM, NetBackup, EMC PowerPath, and
other COTS are part of the daily tasks.
Also patch management for both HP-UX and linux and scheduled system

Senior Systems Administrator Lockheed Martin Oct. 2002 – Jan. 2008
Technical lead systems administrator
working on the Interstate Identification and Indexing (III) project for
Lockheed Martin at a government facility in Clarksburg, WV. This project requires 24/7/365 operation with
99.5% availability. The hardware
consists of, but is not limited to, HP 32000 Superdome servers connected to EMC
DMX 3000 RAID units. This system
contains an Oracle 9i database that is kept highly available using HP
MC/ServiceGuard software. The system is
monitored with HP/OpenView and locally developed programs. Tuxedo middleware is used to communicate with
other systems in the facility.
VeritasNetbackup is used for nightly backups and off-site data

the availability and integrity of this highly visible federal government system
is an important part of my daily responsibilities. Other duties include
creating system policies and procedures as well as training and managing SA

Oracle 7.3.3 database was used and SGI Failsafe 1x kept it highly
available. Tuxedo middleware was used to
communicate with other systems in the facility.
Systems administration duties included troubleshooting hardware, COTS,
and locally developed programs. Other
responsibilities included shell scripting, nightly backups using SGI utilities
and Alexandria software, and general preventive maintenance. The III team upgraded the hardware to later
