PROFILE:               I have six years experience in different areas of the construction industry.  This covers from the process of obtaining governmental permissions, up to the performance of inspections during the development of new projects, as well as on existing structures.  In addition, I have experience developing and editing reports, operational plans and maintenance.  Am also capable and have experience in directing and supervising personnel.

                                   Project Inspector

Consists of performing inspections on mecanical equipment and infrastructure of the “Jardín Botánico y Cultural de Caguas [JBCC]” (Botanical and Cultural Garden of the city of Caguas).  Must edit and submit weekly reports on the inspections performed, as well as preparing special reports. 

·           Supervise labor performed by sub-contracted personnel.  Certify work completed and submit report.

·           Supervise maintenance work and equipment repair.  

·           Identify and inventory the deficiencies found in mechanical equipment of the JBCC, so as to have them corrected. 

Achievements

·           Prepared and Developed the Operational and Maintenance Plan for JBCC.

·           Automatization of the submerged pumps system. 

2004-2010               Departamento de Recursos Naturales  y  Ambientales (DRNA), Río Piedras.  (Natural Resources Department)

                                         Engineer Technician  

                                                   Consisted of analyzing and evaluating permit applications for extraction, removal and dredging of earth crust, so as to issue a recommendation to the Secretary of the DRNA, who would then approve or decline the application.  

                                               

·           Edited and submitted letters and reports.

·           Evaluated information in environmental documents.

·           Inspected construction projects, grading of land and dredging, to compare observations with the submitted information.

·           Edited and submitted reports of inspection results in detail.

·           Investigated complaints in conjunction with the ”Cuerpo de Vigilantes” (Guards Corp.) of the DRNA.

·           Edited and submitted reports on investigation results to the “División de Asuntos Legales del DRNA” (Legal Affairs Division of the DRNA).

·           Was the specialist representing DRNA at Administrative Reviews, Cuasi Judicial and Judicial cases, for violations and investigated complaints.

Achievements

·           Issued recommendations for 100% of the assigned applications for evaluation of Incidental and Simple Permits, as well as amendments. 

·           Developed and prepared a guide that would compile the procedures not included in the Rule Code for Extractions, Grading of Land and Dredging of earth crust.
