·          Created a startup business plan and secured necessary funding, licensing, and certifications. 
·          Negotiated supplier and vendor contracts, as well as professional services (warehousing, reporting, accounting, compliance, etc.).
·          Managed the on time, on budget, and in-compliance delivery of products, coordinating simultaneous shipments and deliveries between Italy and various locations in the U.S.

Coordinated between the Marketing, Sales and Technology teams, prioritizing development and support tasks to meet the rapidly changing needs of the CAM business.  Managed the interrelated, overlapping initiatives of a program consisting of three large large-scale initiatives and 10 – 25 concurrent projects.  This program comprised 15% of CAM’s 2004 – 2005 global technology initiative budget.

Selected Key Accomplishments (at Citigroup Asset Management)

·          Managed the relaunch of www.CitigroupAM.com, the corporate internet site, as well as the accompanying -- and more complex -- extranet and intranet sites serving the financial professional community. 
·          Managed the implementation of the Marketing Publishing Automation System (MPAS), including process renovation, legacy system integration, and the creation of print and website materials.  Improved availability of key print materials and electronic information by more than 7 weeks, while reducing resources by 25%. 
·         Managed a conversion and re-launch of two college savings product websites, www.brightstar.com and www.scholars.com, adding online account management and direct investment options.  Availability of these features quadrupled the number of registered accounts and increased assets under management by 120% within the first 60 days.
·         Led the launch of Total Access, a web-enabled account maintenance and reporting facility used by Institutional investors and Citigroup client support teams around the world.  This website was identified as one of the “Top 10 Websites in Institutional Asset Management” by Kasina in September 2003.

1999 –2001

Led the project management, development, implementation and support teams responsible for www.barnesandnoble.com, which was the 4th largest electronic retail/commerce site in the world at the time.  Managed multiple simultaneous projects, consistently delivering results in an atmosphere of dramatic business growth and intense media attention.  Established and leveraged enterprise project management processes, and recruited / retained high potential staff.

Selected Key Accomplishments

·         Guided the stabilization of core e-commerce technologies, helping to create a scalable applications architecture able to process the 300% increase in peak daily order volume and website traffic. 
·         Leveraged these same improvements in core technologies and application architecture to reduce customer order inquiry rates by more than two-thirds.
·         Streamlined processes, reduced rework and trimmed error rates in application development and support, cutting IT spending as a percentage of sales in half. 
·         Oversaw the implementation of customer relationship management (CRM) technologies and processes, which reduced customer service expense by more than 50%. 
·         Salvaged a $7 million investment in an enterprise data warehouse by assuming project leadership after the three-year development effort had failed.  Completed turn-around and initial deployment in ten weeks.  
·         Partnered with the SBU Leader to redesign and relaunch the corporate sales site, quadrupling divisional sales in a four-month period.
