all Customer facing applications at United Airlines. Responsibilities included
all E-Commerce capabilities (including
United.com, an annual $2 Billion e-commerce site), Call Center development capabilities,
as well as all other channel development (kiosk, mobile etc.) Enabled over 50M+
incremental ancillary revenue with merchandising and marketing focused releases
in 2010.

Led multiple Managing Directors in an enterprise-wide initiative to
standardize infrastructure, stabilize operations, remediate security issues,
and to lay the foundation for future capabilities.
Successfully led the completion of all activities under tight schedules and
under budget. This included the remediation of over 125 Mission Critical and
Business Critical applications from the ground up, resulting in dramatically improving
operational stability by over 60%.

Enabled United’s SOA strategy which included building out foundational

all-star team of architects and developers to reduce conflict, and to produce
more in 1 year than had been done in the previous 2 years. Completely
redesigned and simplified the user interface of 2 product suites, while
concurrently adding functionality and product scalability.

Headed the development of the SoftwareManager™ product suite, which
enabled companies to manage and maintain software applications across the
entire enterprise from build to deploy to asset retirement. Features included
support for ITIL concepts including DSL capabilities (software packaging,
warehousing, promotion), CMDB capabilities (configuration management), and
electronic software distribution. Technologies used: J2EE (Java, JSP, EJB), XML, Structs, and Hibernate.

Led the design and development
of SystemBuilder™, a .NET product suite
that facilitated the packaging and deployment of software to Windows based
endpoints. Capabilities included provisioning of bare metal endpoints, and
management of the provisioning process from software selection to distribution.

footprint, and defining a technology and architectural strategy that reduced

Enabled E-Commerce capabilities
for over 1500 indirect retail stores and kiosks by implementing the Interact project. This initiative
allowed indirect retailers to seamlessly provision and activate customers via
the web. Technologies used included J2EE, Java, EJB, JSP, JDBC, XML, BEA WLS,
and Oracle 8i.

Received the annual President’s
award for positioning Verizon Wireless as the first cellular company in the
nation to automate service provisioning by implementing the Over the Air Activation (OTA) project.
Eliminated all manual handset programming that accompanied service changes
(i.e. new service, phone number changes, handset swaps, etc.) by programming
the customer’s handset directly over the air waves. Technologies used included
C++, Lucent OTAF, ASPECT VRU and CORBA for integration to the billing system.

Implemented various E-Care
initiatives including: Online Bill Payment & Presentment allowing customers to view and pay
bills via the web; Retail Store Locator,
used to view and maintain retail store data; and Equipment & Service Refunds, a workflow application used to
manage customer refunds. Technologies used included J2EE, Java, EJB, JSP, JDBC,
JavaScript, XML, BEA WLS, and Oracle 8i.

Reduced over $1.5M annually in call
center expenses by implementing the #BAL
Text Messaging initiative. Servicing over 250,000 on-demand requests daily,
this initiative let customers retrieve real-time account balance and usage
information as SMS text messages by-passing call center toll free lines. Technologies
used included C++ , Convergys P2K, Lucent SMSC, BEA WLE and MQ Series.

Automated call center customer self-care
capabilities by implementing QuickPay
allowing customers to pay bills using electronic checks, credit cards, and

Directed the development and deployment of CMS, a mission critical, high availability

Led the development of the NSD initiative, a Geographical Information
System (GIS) used to display the real-time, running state of the railroad on
nine 24 x 18 foot screens at BNSF’s Command
