Experience:
Northrop Grumman
Helena, MT –
Software Developer 5/2007–present
Ø OASIS support 11/2011–present
§ Suite of C# applications with SQL Server back-ends written to allow
external companies to partner with, and provide data to, Northrop Grumman.
Ø Global Supply Chain: 1/2011–present
§ Used to allow potential partner companies to apply as a supplier for
the company.
§ Developed and implemented a set of work flows to meet shifting
requirements. These incorporated the
unwritten rules of the previous process (manual processing of paper
forms).
§ Because of the layered architecture (which includes MVC for the
front-end) and its normalized database, the system is scalable to allow the
user to convert additional paper forms to e-forms with their own work flow
logic, while maintaining the same overall design and structure.
Ø Customer Partner Access (CPA): 6/2010–1/2011
§ Used to allow individuals from other companies to apply for access
to collaborative areas within Northrop Grumman.
§ Implemented Windows Workflows for processing applications and then
feeding that information off to an Active Directory process.
§ Utilized MVC's concept of areas to make a clear separation of web
content by roles and responsibilities.
Ø Technical Services (TS): support existing web applications
(primarily C#) as well as design new solutions for the sector 6/2008–present
§ Created a set of SSIS packages in combination with a web front-end
(using MVC) to allow the customer to calculate employee benefits in a matter of
minutes instead of days. Prior to this,
the benefits were calculated by hand resulting in several costly instances of
human error.
§ Optimized the Lost Tool Reporting application, reducing page load
time by an order of magnitude.
§ Designed a set of generic classes to enable the creation of PDF
documents(using PdfSharp) for data in a reporting application allowing greater
interoperability.
Ø Portal Team 5/2008–12/2009
§ Part of a three man team responsible for all IVI (Intranet via
Internet) requests for applications residing on the Northrop network.
§ Developed several widgets for use in the WCM (Web Content
Management) environment created by IBM.
These extended or replaced the existing functionality to allow n-tier
solutions.
Ø Emergency Call Center: improving and supporting the Emergency Call
Center application. 6/2007–6/2011
§ Application used during Katrina, Rita, and the Southern California
wildfires of 2007 to gather information about affected employees.
§ HR data is entered and processed via a set of DTS packages for SQL
Server.
