military ground assets to relocate gear as quickly as possibly eliminating
any noticeable effect to user communications.

Supervised
the forward detachment during real Continuity of Operations (COOP) actions in
response to the threat posed to the Gulf of Mexico region by Hurricane Gustav
during September 2008. The transfer of services to the COOP hot site in
Kansas City, MO allowed services to remain up for all applications supported
by Marine Forces Reserve as well as minimal downtime for the Defense
Messaging System.

Supervised
the Information Technology section of Marine Forces Reserve which was
responsible for creating, managing and training users and their accounts
within Headquarters Marine Corps’s Information Technology Request\Review
Approval System comprising over one hundred active accounts and totaling over
3000 requests yearly valued at approximately $4,000,000 (US).

Managed,
renewed and adjusted Marine Forces Reserve G-6 annual contracts and warranties
totaling almost $1,500,000 (US) to provide timely and adequate maintenance
and support from vendors in order to prevent downtime to users and saving
Marine Forces Reserve money by eliminating the need for full time on site
employees and preventing the need for costly one time purchases.

Deployed
twice to Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom with 2nd Light Armored
Reconnaissance Battalion to support data communications, both classified and
unclassified, for over 300 users on 120 devices spread through multiple forward
operating sites.

Supported
2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion during a 45 day
training exercise with unclassified and classified Data Communications for 90
workstations and 150 users in a field environment.
