Lead project manager for Ally
Canada’s Business-As-Usual (BAU) enhancement releases to support the online
bank. Used MS Project Server 2010 to maintain project visibility and provide access
to senior executives. Project scope included eCommerce, Web Analytics, Bank
Operations, and User Experience change requests. As lead project manager, I was
responsible for leading regular status meetings with project stakeholders,
managing QA resources, controlling the quality of business requirements, vendor
relationship management and development resource management. Responsible for
project’s adherence to PMO process governance.
§ Within 2 months of my
engagement, I was promoted to Lead Project Manager for Ally Canada’s BAU
releases. Set release schedules and created implementation plans for 6-week
release cycles.
§ Oversaw the activities of QA
resources including developing test plans and User Acceptance Test (UAT) test
scripts. BAU releases recorded a 70% reduction in the number of software
defects over previous releases.
§ 80% of my documented proposals
for SDLC process improvements were approved by the PMO, allowing the annual
release cadence to advance from an 8-week release cycle to 6 weeks.
