Project Description:
Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) is a complete Medicaid
solution for North Dakota State in USA. The project automates the whole process
from adding a member in to the application to enrolling him in different
Medicaid and Medicare plans keeping in account all the
regulatory/business/legal rules. Medicaid is a health insurance program financed
and running jointly by the federal and states governments for low-income people
of all ages who do not have money or insurance to pay for health care.
The goal of the program is to provide medical and other health care
services to eligible individuals, so that they are able to remain
self-sufficient as possible. Medicaid is a state administered program. Each
state sets its own guidelines, subject to federal rules and guidelines. Certain
services must be covered by states in order to receive federal funds. Other
services are optional and are elected by states.
MMIS will provide a complete solution for the whole Medicaid Industry. With minor changes the same product can be reconfigured to meet the requirements of any other states. The project used Agile Software Methodologies for its development.
Role:
Worked as a Software Developer
Responsibilities:

To maintain the flow
of application from the Portal layer to the Business Layer.

To verify and modify
business rules as per the specification in the use case.

Hibernate is used for
ORM.
·
Named query, criteria
API, SQL and PL/SQL are used to manipulation and fetching data from
Database.

Find the bugs in the
existing application and provide fix for them.
