Senior Technical
Lead - Global Architecture and Engineering Group
Ø
Core
responsibilities for design and development of middleware components for the US
Middleware group using TIBCO suite of products like TIBCO Rendezvous, EMS
servers for messaging, TIBCO Hawk for monitoring and EAI tools like TIBCO
BusinessWorks.
o
Development of
applications using RV /EMS /Solace Java API
Ø
Design and
Development of Solace based applications
Ø
Hands on
development of several middleware modules using C++ and Java languages.
Ø
Developed an RVD
Farm environment that provides TCP access to multicast data in a fault tolerant
manner by fronting the daemons with a CSS / F5 (LTM) / GSLB (F5-GTM) load
balancers.
Ø
Developed an RVRD
farm that acts as a hub for all global messaging routes.
Ø
The farm hosts are
uniquely optimized with the TIBCO recommended Kernel and Network settings that
provides the best performance and minimum/low latency for trading systems.
Ø
Established similar
farms for WebLogic server instances and clients that run on VMware hosts.
Ø
Hands on
development experience in creating a custom conversion module for improving the
throughput of RVCM messages through the TIB MQAdapter. Conversion of TIB
RVCM messages to COBOL Copybook / Fixed Format Messages and vice versa.
Ø
Extensive
development using C++ and multithreaded libraries to support this
functionality. This implementation greatly improved the throughput of the
Straight Thru Processing pipeline.
Ø
Developed various
probes that provide a real time view of multicast message flow and performance
of JMS servers. The probe captures metrics and does proactive monitoring
of multicast traffic patterns and alerts associated teams accordingly. The
probes were developed as a Web application deployed on WebLogic application
server and consists of several JSPs that form the presentation layer, data
collection was done using BusinessWorks processes and persisted in a Sybase
database. Also participated in development of a STP probe that provides
visibility into messaging on our trading (STP) pipes during its various stages
from front office to back office.
Ø
Strong networking
background, including troubleshooting multicast and TCP issues.
Ø
Experience
consulting with Fixed Income, Equities and Derivatives teams and their
management in forming an architecture and strategy that works best for their
application needs and the use of TIBCO and BEA tools to facilitate the
implementation.
Ø
Extensive
experience with supporting Tier 0 applications with 24x7 availability across
US, EU and Asia networks.
AT&T July
1998 – September 2004
Senior
Technical Lead (June 2001 – September 2004)
Ø
Core
responsibilities include design and development of advanced state of the art
workflow management for tracking disputes at AT&T’s Business Dispute
Tracking System
Ø
The development of
this multi-tier application involves extensive design and development in C# for
the .NET clients and JAVA for Solaris clients.
Ø
Rendezvous was used
as the messaging bus (transport layer) for the Windows Clients to store their
information in Oracle 9i database. Extensive Java Servlet and JSP Views
were also developed for other clients to interact with the DTS database. Web Services
were used to interact with the various Billing Systems. The IBM managed
billing systems are CORBA servers. Some client modules were developed
using Iona’s Orbix as CORBA clients.
Senior Developer
July 1998 – May 2001
Ø
Senior Developer in
the BLISS (Business Local Integrated Support Services) project at AT&T.
Involved in the analysis, design, development and testing of various modules for
the BLISS product.
Ø
This involved doing
business analysis and design using Rational Rose during the early stages of the
project. The core development was doing using C++ on HP Platform and I had
developed several modules for the multiple processes like COCREATE, NPASPLITS,
COINQUIRY and INQREP.
Ø
The BLISS product
is a pre-order, ordering and partially provisioning system developed over the
last three years, thereby giving AT&T an edge over the Local market which
is dominated by the LECs. The product significantly reduced the time taken from
ordering to provisioning and has been successfully deployed in several states.
Ø
I have gained a
deep understanding of the CLEC market entry into Local and have gained a
significant amount of business and technical knowledge. Involved in multiple
releases of this very successful product and have involved myself extensively
with the testing and production support of this product.
Ø
The BLISS product
is based on the three-tier intranet architecture and the core design work was
done using UML in Rational Rose. The code was largely developed using Java and
the backend used was Oracle.

Ø
Involved in the
Development of e-gateway - which facilitates CLECs to get into the local market
and communicate electronically to LECs through gateways.
Ø
The project
involved C++ programming with CORBA for the middleware. Developed modules to interface with Tivoli for monitoring and
managing system alarms. The backend was Oracle and a large amount of stored
procedures were developed to handle the data.
UPS
December 1996 - October 1997
Software Consultant
Ø
Involved in the
design and development of Flexible Data Capture, a system developed to monitor
and track the shipment of packages by UPS around the globe.
Ø
The core
development was done using C++ on the Windows platform, which was the platform
in which the FDC application executed. Data for the system was retrieved from
mid-range AS/400 servers using proprietary IBM backend drivers and also from
the legacy mainframe systems.
Ø
Two main modules I
worked on were the Beginning of Day and End of Day processes which update the
information from the mid-range servers to the main repository on a day-to-day
basis. I was also involved in production support as the system was a 24x7
system.

project.
Ø
The BASIC 8 product
runs on the GSS platform and has both UNIX (SUN Solaris) version and the
Windows front-ends. The product routes 800 (toll-free) calls during different
times of the day and weekend. During the development process I have developed
various reports from the database and the coding for these modules were done
using C++ interfacing with Crystal Reports.

the object-oriented database. Some of the key modules in the product were a
Media Browser, Schema Designer, a presentation manager and the main database
engine.
Ø
Involved with the
development of a large number of tools for the product like the Audio Tool,
