Objective
In July 2008 I accepted a job in the Atlanta area
which required relocating from the Knoxville, TN area. I am looking for a position where the
knowledge and skills acquired over twenty years in recycled paper and secondary
fiber can benefit my employer while providing a challenging and rewarding
career.
Experience
July 2008- Present
American Fiber
Services, LLC
Smyrna, GA
30082
Title: Accounts Manager
·
Worked with existing accounts
to maintain the personal relationships that are critical to success in the
recycled paper industry.
·
A regular part of my
responsibilities was the prompt resolution of problems related to pricing,
quality discrepancies, logistical issues, or other business matters
·
Traveled primarily through the
southeast to visit existing accounts. This would enable me to see if they were operating
safely, efficiently, or perhaps overlooking opportunities that would make them
more successful.
·
Established new clients by
finding accounts that were new to the business or dissatisfied in their relationship
with current broker or end user of their products.
·
Monthly purchase and sales
orders were created in Cie Trade ® for dozens of existing
accounts.
·
Applied work direction for
customer service representatives in the office pertaining to pricing, points of
delivery, and problem resolution.

Kimberly-Clark Corporation
Tissue/Towel mill
Loudon, TN 37774
Title: Secondary Fiber Buyer
·
Purchased more than 10,000 tons
per month of assorted secondary fiber grades to be used as raw material in the
tissue and towel process.
·
Determined which of the forty+
suppliers with seventy+ ship points would be selected to ship each month based
on quality, loyalty, pricing, and proximity to the mill.
·
Mill operated for years without
raw material warehousing requiring management of inbound deliveries being matched
to mill consumption needs while minimizing trailer detention and satisfying the
shipper’s need for timely movement
·
Mill pricing was consistently
below published commodity pricing and often the lowest within the corporation
for secondary fiber.
·
Purchased wood waste for use in
the mill’s waste-to-energy boiler from 2006-2008.
·
Facilitated in teaching classes
related to conflict resolution between employees.
