Name: COMMUNICATION WINDOW
Description :
The COMMUNICATION WINDOW has
designed, is used for safe passage of convoy
between any two military vehicles, during the presence of broad band jamming
signals. It allows communication on the frequency set by the user anywhere in
the band of 30-90 MHz. This Unit has a CYGNAL controller (C8051F020)
controlled Unit which does the necessary job. AT89C52 version is also
developed for the same.

Name: GPIB UNIT
Description : The GPIB UNIT (IEEE 488.2) has
designed, and is used for communicate between any two devices. This Unit has a NAT7210
IC as a controller. It is basically used to provide
communication between to programmable instruments. By this interface unit we
can control the device like Network analyzer, RCT and CRO etc...

AUTOMATIC SIGNALLING AND CONTROLLING OF RAILWAYS
Description : This deals with the INDIAN
railway signaling & controlling. These actions can be done automatically by
this project. This project gives the efficient ways to handle the level
crossing, gate controlling, & announcement at stations.

I: General
Purpose Interface Bus (GPIB) UNIT
Responsibility: Firmware Development
Development of Initialization software
1.
Controller initialization
a. On
chip peripherals configuration for run time C environment
2.
Hardware debugging using JTAG interface.
a. Checking
control signals: Data inputs are given to the NAT7210
and control signals generated by the NAT7210 are checked.
b. Hardware
debugging:
Simple read and write operation code for each peripheral are written and
downloaded in to the controller internal memory through JTAG interface to
ensure the hardware connection. Emulator is used for the entire firmware
development.
c. Hardware Design: Design
the Control card hardware using Orcad tool.
3. External
memory configuration:
External memory bank size and wait state mode for each bank is defined for
external peripheral interface. Arithmetic and mode registers are configured.
4. RS232:Parameters like baud rate, no. of
start bit, no. of stop bit and parity bit are initialized. ISR routine is written to read the data
from the receiver buffer whenever RS232 receives the data and Poll the
transmitter buffer status to write the data to be sent.
5. Code
development:
Firmware on unit side will be developed in C and assembly language
using keil compilation, linking and loading, we will get final boot loadable in
hexadecimal format.
Tools
used: C, Silicon IDE, Labtools-48, orcad design tool.
