Research and Projects

Carried out a project on electricity Act, 2003 and other related Acts and made some case studies relating to writs, public interest litigation, consumer forum matters, criminal matters and Electricity Matters while interning at CESC Ltd., Kolkata.

Carried out a project on arbitration and important its importance to be incorpporated in the Indian Oil contract and made such case studies in relaton to the contrats made and disputes which were resolved by the arbitration mechanism.

Attended National Level seminars organized by the University Grants Commission on the Expanding Horizons of Article 21 of the Indian Constitution and privatization of higher education.


Internships


Have interned with LP Agarwala & Associates for 4 weeks., a leading law firm in Kolkata. Dealt with company matters with special emphasis on Arbitration and Winding up matters. Regularly visited the High Court of Calcutta to assist the seniors and to acquire knowledge regarding the company matters.Have worked with matters related to Company Law and Debt Recovery Tribunal.

Have interned at the Legal Department of CESC Ltd, Kolkata. Worked in the legal department of Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation for 4 weeks and got exposure in electricity matters and writs relating to electricity matters pertaining to Electricity Act and other related Acts. Criminal matters and consumer forum matters were also studied in detains to acquire as much knowledge as possible. Also visited the Criminal court, Consumer foum and Calcutta High Court to gather knowledge regarding the legal nitigrities of the profession. Have worked with Writ petitions and Public Interest Litigation, Consumer forum and criminal matters under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act and visited the High Court in Kolkata.

Have interned at Indian Oil Corporation, Kolkata. Worked in the legal department for 4 weeks and acquired indept knowledge about the working of a public sector and the dispute redressal mechanism  process. The Mamorandum and Article of association was also studies to understand the formation of the company and the objective of the company. The Arbitation laws had to be reffered in order to understand the importance of arbitration laws and its incorporation in the contrats. Have worked with contracts and arbitration.

Have also interened at Sinha & Co. a law firm in Kolkata for a period of four weeks gaining knowledge about the legal practice. Dealt with civil and criminal matters and arbitration cases. Have worked with cases related to the consumer forum, Debt Recovery Tribunal and Arbitration in Kolkata.

 Have worked as a Campus Associate with Thompon Reuters for over an year successfuly helping to promote two programs announced by them and also getting certificates from them after completion of the work.


 Voluntary Assignment


●      Samobeto : Worked with the NGO which caters to the development of physically challenged children. Took part in talk-shows and panel discussion at Bidhannagar fair for there rights as an human-beings and also campaigned actively for reducing environmental pollution.

•    Have been a member of the Leadership Training Service and the Cultural Club of during school.
