Description                 : 

·          ATE framework is python scripted testing environment for the SIP Protocol.

·          Implemented on Client-Server Architecture.

·          Provides support for Server to run in Stateless, TSP, Registrar, Presence and Redirect modes.

·          Works with both File based and Centralized Database mode.

·          Provides easy extensibility.

·          Enhanced to support Session Timer Feature, an extension to SIP indicates how long a session will be active and triggers freeing of resources allocated by the application in case of session expiration.

·          Session timers provide a mechanism to keep the session alive by sending periodic session refresh requests and provide a way to prevent the attacks in the middle of transport by keeping smaller timer values in the request messages.

·          Enhancing the ATE framework for session timers allows to developing and executing session timer related test scripts, i.e. to test the Session Timer feature rigorously.
