Beckley VAMC across an eleven county service area. Actively sought out
and maintained a qualified pool of volunteer drivers. Ensured the
proper training of volunteers and the regular maintenance of vehicles in the
program. Communicated program rules,
limitations, and needs to the hospital director, staff, veterans and
their family members. Worked in unison with the Voluntary Services
Department at the hospital to accomplish these goals. Also
devised incentive programs to reward drivers for the early completion of
training each year and to show continual appreciation for their efforts.
