systems for Verizon Northeast region. Coverage was 24/7 and required
maintenance skills as well as development of new online inquiry systems. Was available 24 hours to respond to any data center down time to keep
billing chain for the Noreast functioning.
Software
programming/analyst in PL/1 and Cobol, IMS DB/DC, MFS screen formatting, JCL. Most of the software was online and processed the entire Northeast
network of Verizon reps who fielded the calls for new lines, upgraded service,
ordered DSL and FIOS and other products. I was responsible for the mainframe
MINIMAL INPUT system which was the main processor online and conduit to all of
the other Verizon billing systems throughout the Northeast.
