PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Program / Project Management
·        Program Manager, Business Improvement Services: Responsible for planning and direction for multiple Oracle ERP and non-Oracle projects, including an RFID-based dumpster enforcement effort and the automation of time and attendance data through the use of Oracle Time and Labor, and its associated Human Resource modules.

·        Release 11i Implementation Project Manager: Responsible for coordination of issue resolution and staffing utilization during the final system implementation and go-live phases for this Fiber Cable manufacturer.  Modules implemented include Order Management, Shipping, Advanced Pricing, Work in Process, Inventory, Bill of Materials, Costing, Purchasing and Financials.

·         Subscriptions Project Manager: Responsible for planning and direction for two smaller scale, post implementation enhancement projects, primarily involving Oracle modules Oracle Sales Online, Service Contracts and Order Management at this professional association supporting the accounting profession.

·         Upgrade Project Manager:  Provided project management and functional expertise for a publications company upgrading from Oracle release 11.5.8 to 11.5.10.2.  Modules affected included Accounts Payable, Cash Management, Internet Expense, General Ledger and Fixed Assets.

·        CPG Upgrade Program Manager: Responsible for all aspects of a software upgrade consulting program across multiple customers and projects, including proposal development and presentation, contract negotiation, and project planning and management.  This program was run within the CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) group’s technology practice.

·         OMX Project Manager: Responsible for the creation and delivery of numerous customizations to an Oracle partner’s order management software for a large CPG company, across multiple software releases and software installation sites, including analysis, development and testing.  This also involved activity coordination with the software partner involved with the customizations (code-named “OMX” for Order Management Extensions).



Oracle Application Experience

·         Advanced Pricing: Primary Advanced Pricing implementation resource for a global pricing addition to an existing 11.5.10 Oracle instance.  Worked in conjunction with the business project manager to plan and implement the functionality across three existing domestic and international business units, and for multiple planned locations as well.

·         OM Release 12 Implementation: Primary Order Management implementation resource for a large-scale US military Oracle applications implementation.  Responsible for providing Oracle OM functional and process order to settlement expertise during the project design phase.  Along with OM, additional Oracle modules involved include multiple CRM modules, Shipping and Inventory.

·         OM / Global ATP: Provided consulting production support and troubleshooting for an 11.5.9 implementation of a leading healthcare products manufacturer and supplier.  The primary Oracle modules involved include Order Management, Telesales, Quoting, Inventory, and Global Order Promising.

·         OM / Shipping: Provided consulting production support and troubleshooting for an 11.5.9 implementation of an electrical cable manufacturer and distributor.  The primary Oracle modules involved include Order Management, Shipping, Advanced Pricing, and Inventory.

·         Sales: Consulting functional lead for the Oracle Sales implementation phase of a multi-phase Oracle 11.5.10.2 project implementation.  Responsible for all aspects of this accelerated implementation, including requirements gathering, application setup, customization design, and production support.  Modules implemented include Oracle Sales, Quoting, and Sales Contracts, along with associated CRM support modules such as the Territory Manager.

·         Financials: Technical lead on a Financials team involved in the implementation of Oracle Release 11i.  Modules supported included Receivables, Payables, General Ledger, Service Contracts, Fixed Assets and Project Accounting, as well as third party packages such as Vertex.  Responsible for the technical design of custom integration between an existing Oracle 10.7 instance and a planned Oracle 11i implementation, as well as numerous other customizations.  Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of development, including direction for junior-level technical staff.  Provided project management assistance as required.

·         Financials: Functional team lead on a financial integration project (primarily Receivables, Payables and General Ledger) between an existing Oracle 10.7 instance and a planned Oracle 11i implementation.  Responsible for high-level and functional design of required customizations, including appropriate documentation.

·         OM / OE: Customer Returns team lead on a large scale Oracle application implementation project for a telecommunication equipment manufacturer using Oracle application releases 11 and 11i.

·         OM: Responsible for providing client training on Oracle Order Management 11i, including Shipping Execution.

·         OM: Provided assistance in trouble shooting Advanced Pricing scenarios for an Oracle Order Management 11i CRP.

·         OE: Provided testing support and troubleshooting for the business unit of a telecommunication equipment manufacturer increasing the functionality used by their Oracle Order Entry application implementation to include product reservations.

·         OE: Responsible for order management process / software analysis for a large telecomm manufacturer using Oracle applications 10.7NCA, primarily involving Oracle Order Entry.

·         Order Management:  Responsible as an Order to Cash team member for an initial fit analysis for a multi-site project of a well known CPG company targeting the implementation of IMI System ESS.  Planned and led numerous software lab sessions designed to determine the settings and data to be used when running the system.

·         OE: Responsible for analysis and system recommendations for a large-scale distribution project for a Japanese consumer electronics firm.  Provided mapping of client requirements to Oracle applications (primarily Order Entry 10.7SC), application and technical architecture review, user interface recommendations and project planning.

·         OE Team Lead: Responsible for completion of analysis phase of multi-site project targeting the implementation of Oracle Order Entry, Inventory, Purchasing, EDI Gateway, Sales Compensation and Web Customer applications (10.6SC) for a large consumer electronics firm.  Also provided team and project planning support.





Industry Experience

·         MIS Manager: Responsible for all aspects of the information systems at this specialty cable manufacturing plant of a US division of a French telecommunication giant.  Developed a low-cost IS plan to integrate systems, improve data integrity and reduce duplicate transactions.  Spearheaded the migration from an AS400-based MRP system (MAPICS) to VAX/VMS/Oracle-based, in-house systems.  Modules implemented include BOM, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Inventory Control, Scheduling and Costing.  Promoted to Staff Management.

·         MRP Project Manager: Responsible for multi-plant MRP II systems management from the divisional headquarters of this telecomm cable manufacturer.  Assisted in the implementation of a VAX/VMS/COBOL-based MRP II system (AXIS) at four plants.  Modules implemented included BOM, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Inventory Control, Master Production Scheduling, Material Requirements Planning, and Shop Floor Control. 

·         Lead Analyst: Responsible for managing the development and support of the engineering module of a large-scale manufacturing equipment maintenance system for a Fortune 50 chemicals company, including supervising a team of programmer/analysts.  Helped plan and implement policy and procedure changes that resulted in an improved focus on the team’s customers and a fifty percent reduction in software release lead time.

·         Programmer/Analyst: Responsible for software development in multiple team-oriented environments using DEC VAX - based VMS/DBMS/COBOL and PC - based QuickBasic and C, primarily in insurance and manufacturing environments.
