EXPERIENCE OVERVIEW
Project
Management
§
Managed large project portfolios for varied IT services and
clients. Using CMMI and ITIL principles, UML modeling, and PMI best
practices, I have overseen development, planning and implementation for ERPs,
off-the-shelf applications, business intelligence portals, nationwide
technology upgrades and data center designs and installations.
§
As an IT Director in a $12B multi-national service company, I managed IT
Service Portfolios for business acquisitions, large business units, and
multi-year enterprise implementations. In multiple matrix organizations,
I cultivated relationships with executives and stakeholders in Operations,
Finance, HR, Sales and Corporate IT. I ensure success by promoting
clarity and accountability and energizing staff to exceed expectations on
quality, timeliness and service.
Solutions
Development
§
Led concept development, design, planning and project management for
software solutions, managed services, and business consulting services. I
conceived and published two successful Small Business Innovation Research
(SBIR) designs resulting in multi-year Federal contracts. The first US
Air Force award funded development of a business process re-engineering
framework that leveraged the IDEF3 Process Flow Methodology. The second
US DOT award funded development of an interactive multimedia application that
engaged high school students in driver safety using crash simulations.
§
Led development of core technology offerings for the leading Clinical
Technology Services firm in the US.
Using in-house, off-shore and outsourced teams, I oversaw development
and authored the low-level designs for over 20 custom .NET solutions, including
customer portals, BI reporting, order management, and wireless asset
tracking. Applying Agile principles
borrowed from Scrum and RUP, I ensured the timely delivery of world-class
applications that delighted customers and inspired developers.
Technology
Management
§
With substantial hands-on and supervisory experience, I authored and
implemented SLAs, OLAs and SOPs for data centers, field technology management,
multi-platform server management, backup and recovery, system security and user
administration. Leveraging ITIL® and MCSE training, I optimized systems
availability and security while lowering cost-of-ownership.
§
In 2008, I was responsible for voice and data provisioning, vendor
management, and IT availability at a national healthcare organization operating
70 locations. Prior to that, I was responsible for critical systems and
24/7 call center availability for a healthcare services company that supported
