store it in staging table and raise an event that will trigger the batch job
(BDC program).

Savings & Pension plan data from Infotype 0169 to a third party vendor

function module HR_READ_INFOTYPE. To determine the change in the infotype
records the views V_T585A, V_T585B and V_T585C were activated for all the
required infotypes, field groups and fields. To read the changes in PCL4 cluster HR_LOG_GETLIST and HR_LOG_GETDETAIL function modules were

values. Used extensive sets of text elements for the purpose of future language
translation through SE63.
v Created a custom FM (to be used in an RF transaction) to assign
WBS elements for discrepancies in dynamic cycle count in GPD environment when a
particular bin in the warehouse is scanned. It would read the quant level
information from the bin number, read the sales or purchase orders for the
materials found and then assign any missing (or excess) amount to appropriate
WBS elements in a particular fashion for audit.
v Modified an existing report which will create a list of all
returnable containers after doing a goods receipt (after getting the component

General Atomics, San Diego, CA Oct’07-Dec’07
Job Title: SAP HR Payroll Technical Consultant
Reports:
v Developed a reconciliation report between Payroll and CATS (Cross
Application Time Sheet). The objective was to display the hours posted in
Payroll for a particular pay-period and hours posted in CATS for the same. Used
FMs CU-READ-RGDIR, PYXX_READ_PAYROLL_RESULT to read payroll cluster PCL2 and
calculated the base hours and balance due to retro-active/off-cycle
accounting practices. The sum was then put against the hours from CATS based on
processing status, wage types, absence types etc.

a comprehensive outbound interface which will summarize the last six years of
salary history of all employees based on their employee status. Used Infotype
0759 as the driving table to extract data from infotype 0008, 0015 and a custom
built infotype 9102 to get the corresponding percentage, amount and wage types.
For the display purposes, used an ALV report along with various other function
modules such as HR_GET_DATE_EXTERNAL for the benefits of end users.
v Developed an inbound interface for Master Retirement Plan to upload
a custom infotype for Total Compensation. Used “HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION” function
module and BAPIs (BAPI_EMPLOYEE_ENQUEUE & BAPI_EMPLOYEET_DEQUEUE) to insert
data after reading it from a tab delimited flat file. Used SE63 for translating
the program to be used in a in Germany.
v Developed an outbound interface for comprehensive employee Leave
history (Infotype 0000 and infotype 0019) which will be submitted periodically
for a web-based employee salary/benefits information portal. The interface will extract data based on
leave and return periods spanning 18 months. The interface must also include
those employees whose leave start-date may have started before 18 months period
but return-date falls between the last eighteen months. ALV for display and
IDocs were created for data transfer.
v Developed
an outbound interface for employees regarding their general benefits
information for a third party vendor (Watson Wyatt). The goal was to sort out employees based on
their second program grouping in infotype 0171, type/status/dates of employment
and send a) baseline only for the first interface run and b) delta for the
subsequent runs. The interface would have to be presented in a preview mode
utilizing ALV or send IDoc(s) for the further downstream processing through
TIBCO. Used PNPCE as LDB along with customized report categories as par
functional specifications. The data was sent as a tab delimited text file.
v Used
PU12 interface transfer toolbox to
send payroll and master data for US, Canada and Mexico. PU12 was being used for
the easy transfer of delta data for payroll in particular. The periodic payroll
data had to be sent to overseas third-party payroll processing companies
according to country specific requirements.
Reports/Function Modules:
v Developed a custom function module to determine home PERNR/host
PERNR based on their employment status and employment grouping in infotype 0000
and infotype 0001 respectively. The number of PERNRS associated with a central
person (CP) was checked through infotype 0709 (Person ID) by reading External
Person ID (PERSONID_EXT) field.
v Developed
a report to get comprehensive bonus history data on all active & leave
employees spanning four years. The main infotypes involved were 0015 (for
getting the bonus wage types) and a custom infotype 9100 which stored all
relevant wage type/wage amounts. For the notes associated with infotype 0015
which is stored in cluster PCL1,
used function module HR_READ_INFTY_NOTE to retrieve
it.
Enhancements:
v Modified an existing implementation of the BADI HRPDV00PROFILE0001 to include a new requirement
which will allow the basis administrators to restrict certain infotype screens
to be displayed based on the user’s profile (SY-USER) in Infotype 0105. The
current structural authorization check were done by utilizing a custom built
evaluation path which were only checking the LOB (line of business) whereas the
new requirement will also allow the use of the standard O-S-P evaluation path
based on the org keys VDSK 1 (infotype 0001) using authority object P_ORGINCON.
Forms:

performance ratings. Employee Appraisal Data was extracted from HRP1045,
HRT1045 through using BAPIs such as BAPI_APPRAISAL_MODEL_GETLIST,
BAPI_APPRAISAL_MODEL_GETLIST and BAPI_APPRAISAL_GETDETAIL. User can select
the types of performance/appraisal models from the selection screen.
