position title is the Storage/Backup Engineer/DR Specialist. Job
responsibilities are to assure that all enterprise backups meet company
specified SLA's and that Protective Life is fully positioned to withstand any
level of disaster involving the successful recovery of business critical
financial systems and insurance data. I am proficient with Symantec NetBackup
6.5 for open systems, HP Data Protector 6.11, and HP Media Operations Manager.
Storage
platforms include HP EVA, and HP-XP storage arrays and HP VLS (Virtual Library
System) that utilizes high speed RAID disks for tape emulation with Sepaton data
deduplication. I am proficient with HP-ESL712e or HP-MSL libraries. I have a keen understanding of all business

administration and backup management experience is on Windows Server 2003/R2 and

Time

I accepted an
appointment from the City Council of Alabaster to the Alabaster Water Board Authority
in Alabaster, AL. in June of 2008. This
position involves making critical business and financial decisions for the
Alabaster Water Board in conjunction with the other four members of the board
of directors. The position encompasses contracts
for engineering projects of all scopes. We
deal with highly complex projects involving filtration plants for subterranean
well’s and purchasing and selling water resources to other local water systems
nearby. Assist with annual budget, ADEM
rules, state regulatory agencies, rate setting, and help make financial
decisions for a multi-million dollar + infrastructure. The Alabaster Water Board has over 36,000
subscribers.

IBM Global Services -
Birmingham, AL
Intel Systems
Specialist- Full Time Employee (45–60 hours per week)
Held the position of
Server Analyst with IBM Global Services-Outsourcing Division supporting five
commercial customers, Diageo, Fluor Daniels, Sanofi Aventis Pharmaceuticals, Federated Stores, and ESM. Provided support for many of IBM’s internal
servers and external server gateway hardware on Citrix MetaFrame servers.
Spent 18 months on IBM’s
Mercedes-Benz account in Vance, AL. My
position encompassed support of several hundred Windows servers as well as a
lead role with IBM’s change/problem management team. I deployed and utilized Tivoli Security integration
products, Tivoli End Point, and Tivoli server health monitoring tools and
Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM). Extensive experience building all manner of server
hardware in a datacenter environment, then integrating the hardware, and support
afterwards. Experience in deploying and
managing fiber and fiber switches.
Primary duties in my
current job are managing change control, server security, and ensuring that proper
audit trails exist along with supporting documentation for the company but also
for SOX compliance. Manage security and
DR preparation of all servers with Tivoli Storage Management, Tivoli Security
Compliance Manager, Veritas NetBackup, and Tivoli Endpoint. Adapt well to any

Recent experience includes
troubleshooting all aspects of network connected peripherals, troubleshooting
problems through to successful closure in an organized, structured change

In August of 1996, I
was recruited by Ryder System, Inc. while employed by Bellsouth Corporation. I accepted a position in the Ryder Integrated
Logistics IT group to support their networked systems across 750 + logistics
centers across U.S., Mexico, and Canada.
Gained valuable experience in dealing with NAFTA moving computer
hardware across the border for several Ryder de Mexico sites serving General
Motors. During 1997-98 traveled to
Mexico doing project management, site preparation, and hardware integration at
several GM customer sites which resulted in some extensive project management
experience.
I had the opportunity
to build, deploy, integrate, and support all manner of server hardware and
software within Ryder’s field operations at all sites. Travelled extensively throughout Mexico during
the late 90’s for Ryder de Mexico gaining extensive project management
experience planning and implementing new business opportunities for the General
Motors account. I was tasked with
planning, procuring, testing, shipping, and integrating all the hardware and
software for a new WAN for the Ryder/General Motors contract that spanned four
major plants in one northern Mexican province and two southern Mexican
provinces. As project manager, my team installed
Windows application servers, Novell file servers, and Citrix communication
servers and all the underlying hardware and software required to replace a
legacy plant management system at Ryder/GM plants in Silao, Mexico City, Satillo,
and Ramos-Arizpe. I had the opportunity
to work with Dicex International on the U.S. and Mexican borders setting up
shipping requirements for NAFTA. I became very familiar with NAFTA regulations,
and Mexican and U.S. tax laws.
This project ultimately provided software and
hardware that literally ran all aspects of the GM Yard Management system for
three large scale automotive plants. I acquired
an extensive amount of experience in all aspects of WAN management during this
18 month period.
Gained a great deal
of experience in supply chain management and warehouse logistics operations
also.

Shortly after leaving
the U.S. Navy I began work with Southern Bell Company/AT&T as a film processing
clerk working with microfilm and microfiche technology on large mainframe
systems that produced telecom data placed on film medium. From there I accepted a position in the
computer data center with SBC, later to become Bellsouth Corporation. I worked in various jobs within the IT
department with mainframe systems, large capacity laser printers, and
mini-computer systems.
In 1985, I transferred
to Bellsouth Publishing & Marketing (BAPCO) and began working with personal
computers doing statistical type jobs in Marketing. I acquired valuable skills programming
databases with some exposure to COBOL and FORTRAN but concentrated on emerging
technologies in PC applications. I used
DB2, DB3, Clipper, Lotus, and Microsoft Office products to create data entry
systems. In the early 90’s, I accepted a
position within the Bellsouth Operations department, working on several large
Nortel systems handling customer voice intercept traffic.
In 1996 I was professionally
recruited by Ryder System, Inc. for a position in their IT department and left
Bellsouth in early 1997. Traveled
extensively for Ryder System in Mexico for the General Motors account.

I gained a vast amount of experience in utility construction above and

services. Traveled to 15 + countries that
allowed me to become well-rounded in my perspectives while experiencing many
diverse cultures. I was promoted to Utilitesman2
