§ Manage the Information Technology
department for a leading Fortune 500 healthcare supplier. Responsibilities include AS400 and IBM
Mainframe operations. I helped with the installation, maintenance and
continued support and operation of the PKMS (Pick Management System). I am proficient in IBM S390/AS400 operations,
query functions, AS400 command language, CICSPROD, TSO, DataWarehouse, IDMSPROD,
MS/Office and working with various IBM types of equipment and setup. I manage
an I.T. staff; maintain an in-house PC LAN /WAN network with approximately 150
users, order supplies for the department including I. T. equipment. I am responsible for setting schedules of
staff, tracking budgets, maintaining costs, staff reviews, promotions, and salaries.
§ I maintain security access and control
for HIPPA/SOX auditing purposes and all compliance critical positions. I am customer
service oriented and on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I have state and
federal top level security clearance necessary to handle and assist in all
aspects of pharmacy critical applications and accessibility.
§ I was actively involved with a project
for this company involving the move of the AS400 system and related equipment
to accomplish centralization in Denver and further installation of our PKMS
system. I was a major part of the team
involved in the selection, start up and installation of the Automated Output/
StreamServe project throughout the entire company involving standardizing
specialized forms to work with IBM systems and high speed laser printers. I
was the main point of contact for the install and upgrade of MS OFFICE 10, the
e-mail migration project, and the positioning of our warehouse to move to SAP
for further incorporation throughout the company.
§ I support over 750 customers in the
pharmacy, retail and hospital scope of business. My activities ranged from
generating reports through queries and the IBM systems, utilizing
DataWarehouse and other programs to create reports and send them to the
requestor in a specified format such as EXCEL or WORD. This support also included
pricing, retail history, store configuration and set up, and other areas in
the warehouse, the company and in these units.

§ I supervised and later managed various
Information Systems for two major multi-billion dollar Pharmaceutical/General
Merchandise/Grocery warehouses. These
systems include: IBM mainframe, (S390, using MVS/VSE), and a smaller System
38, TSO, TPX, CICS, JCL, Control-D, and ESP. I utilized, updated and edited
JCL extensively for the operations team. I would also use DYL and CULPRIT to
generate reports for both in house and out of house customers. I maintained an onsite Windows NT server
with about 100 H/P stations using various Windows based applications. My
duties also included being the person who would administer, monitor, and
maintain the Lucent phone system, and the Destination Series GT3 / SYS75. I directed
the planning and installation of this phone system at the facility. I
utilized various systems such as such as CA-IDMS, Symbol Radio Frequency, (used
for inventory, billing and receiving throughout the Distribution Center). I directed
the planning, installation of and training for the Symbol Radio Frequency
system used in the warehouse. I was responsible for the security of both the
facility and the system networks both within and outside the warehouse. My
responsibilities also were to for create and implementing department budgets
and projections on a quarterly basis. I also had the responsibilities of
interviewing, hiring, reviewing and promotion of my staff members. I worked
with corporate and private off-site programmers, retail/division personnel,
associates at this site and other distribution centers, other upper level and
key management members in identifying opportunities throughout the different
systems to maximize warehouse operations and minimize costs. I traveled
frequently to roll out and train for new projects and installations. I had helped integrate an automatic
reordering system for our 800 pharmacies and then implemented an automatic
inventory system for those pharmacies. I supported opening and setting up new
stores throughout the country, whether they were recently built or acquired.
This included systems set up in the company databases, training on store systems,
especially in the Pharmacy and General Merchandise areas, and supporting
these stores in all aspects of Retail/Distribution operations.
§ I also worked in Health Insurance as a
Computer Operator for 7 years with Equitable Life and Casualty in Salt Lake
City.
§ I was employed by Pharmaseal/Baxter as an
HP/IBM computer operator in Glendale California for 6 years.
§ I spent 2 ½ years in the Pentagon,
Washington DC as a Computer Operator, assigned to the Joint Chiefs of Staff,
