1.     Created or rewrote standards and guidelines for Development, Middle Tier Engineering, and Project Management. I also assisted with software testing standards and guidelines documentation. 2.     Created an internal Quality Management Group (QMG) Web site describing the group, its purpose, personnel, expertise, and program for solution delivery for ITS.
3.     Worked with a group of upper managers to develop and publish a set of ITS policies consistent with the Capability Maturity Model® Integration (CMMISM) Version 1.1 model for software development. I also created a policy template for future IT use.
4.     Worked with a SCAMPI trained lead appraiser to conduct a baseline assessment of DTE Energy’s software development process against the CMMI model.
The purpose of this project was to create documentation consistent with both current DTE Energy business practices and mapped to the CMMI model, to enable ITS to proceed with Level 3 certification while creating or revising software development standards and guidelines for specific roles within the ITS community at DTE Energy. I was responsible to improve accuracy and create a consistent look and feel throughout ITS documentation.
