Sr. Software Engineer
·         Developed a new delivery fleet management technology which dramatically improved the capacity of pizzeria’s to deliver more quickly while maximizing the utilization of driver labor.  Pizza Pilot showed one Domino’s Pizza in Greater Boston its busiest night in its 13-1/2 year history by increasing the capacity of the store to deliver more pizza with less driver resource.  There was a 23 minute average reduction in delivery times (61 down to 38 minutes) with a 40% increase in business for the same number of drivers.
·         Interacted with store managers, franchisees and drivers to iteratively define effective user requirements for a system that was difficult for prospective users to understand until portions were written and deployed.
·         Developed WinForms Smart Client Desktop Application for the store which was architected to be highly available during a busy Friday night.  My requirement to re-optimize the runs less than one second after a new order came into the system caused me to create a threading model which included Critical Tasks, Routine Tasks, Background Tasks, Repeating Events and Timed Events.  My requirement also forced me to rely heavily on Object Oriented Programming principles and build an Order Node Network to reduce the calculations needed to perform the optimization for sub-second re-optimization.
·         Was project leader while creating a GPS Server and a web services SOAP Application Programmers Interface in C#.NET.  The GPS Server was accessed by the WinForms application to track the locations of all drivers in the field.  The SOAP API was accessible by any POS on any platform that needed to communicate with Pizza Pilot simply by consuming the web service, instantiating object types defined by the web service then passing those objects into web methods we had created.  This was used to pass in new orders and driver clock-ins, for example.
·         Used C#, Visual Studio, .NET Framework, WinForms, SOA, .NET Web Services, Delegates, GUI,  Smart Clients, GPS, GIS, ESRI, Access, SaaS, SQL Server 2005, Bluetooth, Xora, Java Applet,  GPSTimeTrack, Nextel, automatic notification, TFS, SQL, Microsoft MapPoint ActiveX, Dundas Guages and proprietary optimization technologies.
