switch all the different fragmented application into one standard SAP Platform.
This project has been going on since
2002. The aim of this project is to reduce multiple legacy systems, reduce
fragmented interfaces, avoid legacy system enhancements, and reduce system
downtime and lower total cost of ownership. Also the other benefits is to
develop a software applications that work together in real time & shared
information across different departments which will reduced lead times, reduce
inventories and improve communication with customers and suppliers, increased
transparency on how Ford Motor Company runs its business and provide improved
accuracy for decision making.

Designed common approach to
handle data from hundreds of different Interfaces and in various formats.

Designed SAP Adapter Module
solution to handle this, which will make sure that data from each file is SOX
compliant.

application a dealer not only places a new order but he can fill orders for
other dealers if he has enough inventories. Dealers use this system just like
an auction site where users can sell and buy their products. Whenever there is
open emergency order, dealers can grab that order and fill it and can make
money by selling parts to different dealer. This system has several reporting
mechanism for dealers to track their current inventory levels, track their day
to day transactions, current emergency orders which their inventory permits to
fill. This application has several advantages and long-term returns from
business perspective like improved customer satisfaction as the dealers get
their parts quicker and global presence.

Re-designed
developed and implemented Direct Order Entry System-II Web - Interface for the
IBM IMS-Mainframe DOES-II. This application was developed on Apache Struts
framework. DOW is an order-entry and
inquiry system for the dealers of Ford Motor Company. The user has the
capability of entering online orders and modifying open orders and once the order
is processed by the Parts Order Processing System (POPS) it can be tracked in
the shipping information inquiry applications.

Played an active role in the
development of the module using Struts Framework.
·
Developed an extensible class
library around the Struts Action and Action Form classes to simplify
development of the rest of the application to the Struts framework.

Developed classes to implement
Business Logic.

Used Apache POI to read excel
file to process orders.

to the different databases following the Ford Standards for Database

The purpose of this
application is to automate the process that Ford and Lincoln-Mercury dealers
use to place part orders for the collision truckload program. The new process
will require dealers to log into qcdealer.com and then access our unique
truckload order site through a link.
They will then select the parts they would like to order from a series
of search screens and pull-down menus. A truck loading software package will
run in the background that validates the size of the order to maximize
truck-loading efficiencies. Once the dealer meets the order requirements the
order will be batched and collected by Ford Order Processing (POPS). At the
same time, Ternes (the shipping facility) will be provided a loading manifest
that shows exactly how to place the order in the truck to maximize available
space.
This application will allow
dealerships to use the web in order to place part orders for the Ford Customer
Service Division's (FCSD) collision truckload program. There are many benefits to this application
