Senior Engineer/Analyst VII – I am the
Lead Engineer providing technical support to the AIAMD (Army Integrated Air and
Missile Defense) M&S branch. Some accomplishments were 1) Authored the
AIAMD M&S VV&A Plan, 2) Authored the AIAMD Accreditation Plan, and 3) providing
support to the SED G-SIL (Software Engineering Directorate, Government – System
Integration Lab) M&S integration, testing, verification, validation, and
accreditation of the SLAMRAAM (DCARS), Sentinel (SentSim), JLENS, and PATRIOT
(FMS-D) (THAAD to be inclusive at a later date) systems. IBCS is an integral
part of the ASoS, but was not VV&A’d as a part of the SOW. MATLAB is the
V&V tool that will provide the signal and image
processing, communications, control design, test & measurement, modeling,
and numerical analysis. I am the Lead VV&A engineer for the IAMD
ABITT (AB Interface Test Tool). ABITT provides a non-evasive tool that will test
the A-Side/B-Side message interfaces between the IBCS, sensors, and launchers. I
authored the V&V Plan for ABITT. I attended the 3-day ‘Composite Tracking’
training course.

Senior Management Engineer – As a member
of the MDA (Missile Defense Agency) GME-M Performance Assessment team my
responsibilities included, but not limited to: 1) GMDsim M&S Requirements Analysis,
2) PA-09 (PA End-to-End BMD model) support, PA analysis (white papers, analysis
reports, etc.), 3) GMDsim – DSA Integration analysis and support, 4) M&S
development oversight & leadership, 5) Worked with end-users/Warfighters to
capture end user M&S requirements across various venues, 6) Developed the
Use Cases/Intended Uses for PA-10, and 7) Assisted with the test requirements
& analysis, and support to the PA-09 testing effort. I assisted in entering
the PA-10 systems requirements into the DOORS database.
02/01-10/08 The
Boeing Company, Huntsville, AL
§ Engineer/Scientist – I was a
member (Lead) of the SBInet (Secure Border Initiative network)
MA&A/Integrated PA team whose responsibilities included, but not limited to:
1) Verifying & validating the Rampart M&S, 2) Developed lay down
scenarios to be run by Rampart (Monte Carlo runs), 3) Performed detailed
analysis of the Rampart results, 4) A contributing member of the SBInet Systems
Engineering Architectural Design Working Group (WG) (who were responsible for
the Rampart lay down design), 5) Assisted in entering the M&S systems
requirements into the DOORS database, and 6) Authored the M&S V&V Plan.
I was the M&S WG lead engineer.
§ Systems Engineer/Scientist – I was a
member (Lead) of the FCS (Future Combat Systems)
IS&T (Integrated Systems & Test) MS&I (M&S and Integration)
V&V team. FCS is a Simulation Based Acquisition
(SBA) program. I supervised five (5) engineers in planning and executing
the M&S V&V for the FCS SoS (System of Systems) M&S Framework (S2F)
within the FCS Simulated Environment (FSE) requirements. This entailed V&V
Plans, V&V Reports, Assessments, et al. Responsible for the development and
maintenance of the FSE Simulated V&V Plan (SVVP). I assisted MSMO, ATEC,
TRADOC, and AEC in Accrediting the FCS M&S and functional software. I gathered,
compiled and submitted weekly M&S V&V metrics to management. I was heavily
involved in the System of System (SoS) M&S testing (test requirements and
analysis, test event planning, Detailed Test Plan (DTP) development, test
support, and Final Test report assistance. I worked closely with the Test
Engineers in facilitating Integration testing.
§ Engineer/Scientist – As a member
of the Test Requirements Engineering V&V (TREV)
team, Test Resources & Facilities (TRF), FCS, my responsibilities
were to V&V the FCS M&S software, the TRF Products, and to ‘bridge the
gap’ between SSEI (Software Systems Engineering & Integration) and the
Sub-Systems software by ‘sampling the requirements’ via V&V and providing
lessons learned to interested parties. I authored the SoS Test VV&A Plan,
the Verification Assessment Plan/Report, and the Validation Summary
Plan/Report. I assisted ATEC, TRADOC, and AEC in accrediting the FCS M&S
and functional software.

Systems
Engineer – As a Member of the Software Management
Team (SMT), as the GFC/C Project Engineer; my responsibilities were to analyze
the technical architecture and system capabilities of the GMD (Ground-based
Mid-course Defense) GFC/C (GFC, IDT, TEx, GCN, ESI) software, by identifying,
defining, and documenting system and sub-system performance capabilities (e.g.,
Software Metrics). Verified & validated that all GFC/C GCD/PIDs/SRS
requirements were satisfied via CO’s, VO’s, Test Procedures, VSS, VCN, et al. Responsibilities
included coordinating, organizing, teaming, and communicating with the GFC
IPT/JPO for all reviews (Peer, DWT, CWT (C++ code), TWT, PBM, TPM, etc.). I am
a Certified SEI CMM and CMMI Appraiser. I was a member of the CMMI evaluation
team that appraised Boeing, Raytheon (Tucson), Orbital Sciences (Chandler, AZ),
and Northrop Grumman (nee TRW) for their Level 5 certification. The SMT was an
internal SETA for Boeing.

– My responsibilities included supporting the development of the ISTC
(Integrated System Test Capability) in support of the NMD (pre-GMD) Air Defense
System, with emphasis in the V&V segment.
I worked mainly with the BMC2 subsystem. Also, I developed an Access Database
for tracking all documentation within the V&V group. I attended the company-sponsored
C++ course at Calhoun Community College (Huntsville, AL). We were a SETA for
the Program Office.

effort, with emphasis on the Launcher (GBI) segment. Developed detailed test procedures for
validating and verifying the Launcher software on the THAAD Test Bed located at

Computer Scientist – My responsibilities included supporting
the THAAD Program Office (TPO) C2BMC software segment group (SETA
contract). This included reviewing and
evaluating all BM/C3I software and related documentation. UML and OOA/OOD
(Rumbaugh) were the methodologies followed in developing the THAAD software.
Assisted Test Engineering in planning, conducting, test result analysis, and
test report generation.

Configuration
Management (CM) Manager – My responsibilities included writing two
(2) CM Plans for the Air Force Global Weather Command (AFGWC), Offutt Air Force
Base (Omaha, NE). The two CM plans were
for the Modernization Software Conversion and the Julian Hour Software
Correction efforts. These plans were in
accordance with DoD-MIL-STDs 2167.A and 480.
The CM CASE tool (Intersolv) for this effort resided on the Unisys 2200
hardware platform with UNIX as the OS. We were a SETA to the Air Force.
02/84-01/94 TRW, Huntsville, AL
§ 01/88-01/94 Project Manager, EB Lab Support – My responsibilities
included evaluating all software (code/documentation) for MSFC related
experiments and missions, planning, scheduling, technical guidance, and
personnel motivation. The evaluation of
the technical content of the software documentation was to ensure that it
complied with the (MSFC) MM8075.1 and DoD-Mil-Std-2167.A Software Management
and Development standards.
§ 05/86-01/88 Work
Package Manager – I was responsible for the integrated system software
analysis group. The duties were to develop an integrated unit test bed. This was a DoD (MICOM) classified
project. The interface drivers and
utilities for this project were written in C-programming language on a Micro
VAX computer.

Package Manager – I was responsible for the development of the Ground
Software Maintenance Facility (GSMF) simulation at MSFC.

Technical Staff – I was assigned to the SRHIT project as a senior
programmer analyst. Assisted in
documenting the effort. This program was coded in FORTRAN 77 and implemented on
the VAX 11/780 computer. The entire effort utilized all structured design and
