- Led the development of a Web Services
(SOAP) based medical device aggregator for a major OEM customer (Cisco).
The technology chosen was C# using .NET and also ported to Ubuntu using
Mono. This project was done within significant time and cost constraints
as well as significant competition.
- Integrated several medical devices to
provide physicians real time access to these devices anywhere in the world
that has internet access.
- This product outperformed the
competition and was selected for inclusion in the Cisco HealthPresence
product which resulted in significant hardware and software revenue.
- Transitioned the development work from
external to direct employee developers.
- Managed all technical interaction with
Cisco, United Health Care and a confidential high net worth concierge
medical group.

responsible for all research and development activities, which included:
software and hardware development, quality assurance, advanced development,
homologation, program management, system integration and release
configuration/control. Responsibilities also included working with the CTO and
marketing organization to research and define market requirements for products.
Accomplishments:

Built a development organization from fifteen people
to over eighty professionals with expertise in client server, multi-tier and
web development.

Managed the design, development and delivery of
several products for the Call/Contact Center industry which include:
·
“LyriCall” Browser based scripting and desktop
automation tool for Contact center agents. This product also provides desktop
integration with several CRM vendors such as Siebel and Vantive.
·
“Unison” Largest scale predictive dialing platform
in the industry. This product is architected using Unix(Sun/Solaris) and
embedded database (Sybase) server components and Microsoft based Client
applications. Over 700 of these systems have been installed with system sizes
supporting from eight to three hundred agents.
·
“Scale” Inbound/Outbound CTI based call-blending
product. This product utilizes native CTI links to several different PBX’s
including Lucent, Nortel and Aspect.
·
“RPM” PC based supervisory console for the Contact
Center industry developed using Power Builder, VB, VC++, and database
connectivity products.
·
“PC Connect” PC based desktop productivity and host
connectivity product for Call Center agents.
·
“DCS” Digital communications server. This
hardware/software product provides the telecommunications connectivity for the
“Unison” predictive dialer. It supports analog, T1, ISDN and several
international telephony protocols. This product was designed using the TI
TMS640c30 digital signal processor with the software written in C on top of the
SPOX operating system.
·
Participated in the due diligence team that
evaluated and selected a company for acquisition (Answersoft). This company had
significant products in the inbound desktop productivity marketplace. The
products are written in Microsoft C++ and provide CTI capabilities using TAPI
and TSAPI.
·
Managed to retain the key developers through this
tumultuous acquisition. There were nineteen people in this organization based
in the Dallas area. This organization includes both development and QA
personnel.
·
Managed the development of combined inbound/outbound
product taking advantage of both organizations technologies. This product will
provide for total contact management that includes telephony, e-mail, chat, and
Web callback. This product will provide tight integration with Kana and eGain
email management systems as well as server level integration with the Seibel
CRM software package.
·
Led the Research and Development organization while
growing the company’s revenue from 30 million to approximately 100 million
annually.
