responsibilities included working on a team for the Active Directory 2003

stabilizing the existing SMS 2.0 infrastructure. Other responsibilities included migrating

responsibilities included assessing their SMS 1.2-2.0 Network 40,000+ clients
multi-site infrastructure, providing recommendations and resolving technical
issues within their SMS 2.0 hierarchy, Site Servers, clients and other related
items. After completing the assessment
and producing the Assessment and Recommendations documentation, provided the
customer with the implementation of recommendations for a re-design and
training to sustain a healthy and functioning SMS infrastructure. After completing all efforts, desired SMS
functionality returned with improved replication, site status
reporting/updates, client inventory updates, software distributions, eliminated
on-going site and client errors, etc.

Cincinnati Water Works (Cincinnati, OH) project responsibilities included
project management and SMS 2.0 network design/architect and network
administration. Responsibilities include
designing and implementing an SMS 2.0 architecture/environment to support their
multi-site environment for 1000+ clients.
Support also includes assisting with proper SMS 2.0 network
administration of the client and Site servers, packaging and software
distribution, off-line metering, inventory reporting and system monitoring.

administration, ISA Server 2000 and other related support. Technical support provided included, but was
not limited to, scripting, server security assessments and implementation, Anti-virus
prevention, Active Directory/NT Domain/Netware NDS network administration,
troubleshooting, Group policies for security, scripting, SMS 2.0 network
administration/software distribution, Exchange Server 2000 (i.e. Virtual
Servers, SMTP, Secure OWA publish with SSL and ISA Server, Routing groups,

Eaton Corp. (Cleveland, OH) project responsibilities included
technical architecture and development of a Windows 2000 Professional-imaging
project, NT/2000/SMS Network Administration and application packaging for their
35,000+ server/client multi-site network environment.Some of the more
noteworthy accomplishments include:
§ The
imaging project included the design, testing, automation and implementation of
Windows 2000 Professional SYSPREP images for their standardized Dell desktop
and laptop systems. I successfully
developed SYSPREP images utilizing a variety of tools (e.g. Install Shield,
MSI, WMI, Ghost, SYSPREP, SMS Installer, SMS scripting, Visual Basic,
etc.). A related enhancement and
accomplishment included the development of a Visual Basic auto-update NT
service utilizing SQL and FTP, which was integrated into the Windows 2000
Professional SYSPREP image. This Auto-update service would automatically check
the system and if needed, would silently install managed updates (e.g. drivers,
security updates, patches, etc.)
§ Developed
a visual basic auto-update NT service for the workstations and servers which
would wake up and check for updates from a central SQL database. If system required an update, the NT Service
would retrieve the package, download to the workstation/server and install
silently.
§ The
NT/2000/SMS Network Administration responsibilities included administration of
all related system components (e.g.
Logon/Distribution Servers, CAPs, Primary, Central and Secondary Site servers,
SMS clients, software distributions, client support, inventory, site
connections support, security updates, anti-virus, troubleshooting, updates,
database maintenance, backups, etc.)
§ The
application packaging support included creating silent and automated packages
for SMS 2.0 distributions, WEB installations and other portable
methods/technologies (i.e. CD-ROM, Fileservers, etc.). A major accomplishment included the
development of an elevated permission wrapper using Visual Basic and different
packaging tools/technologies to address security and automated installations
for non-standard situations and/or client workstations and users without
required installation privileges.

Boeing (Renton, WA) responsibilities included SMS 2.0 Architecture and project
management, which was successfully completed with a full deployment of SMS
2.0/SQL 7.0 to a multi-geographical and multi-site NT/2000 Server department
under budget and ahead of schedule.
Overall responsibilities included assessment of the environment and
infrastructure (e.g. network, hardware, software, etc.), presentations,
coordination, planning, testing, communications, status reports, technical
design and the architecture of SMS 2.0/SQL 7.0 and related components along
with the actual deployment. Other
responsibilities included building and configuring Compaq Proliant Servers,
installation of Windows 2000 Adv. Server, SMS 2.0, SQL 7.0, applying
patches/Svc Packs, hardware/software inventory, software deployments,
reporting, etc. After completion of
project, I continued to provide on-going NT/2000/SMS 2.0/SQL 7.0 network
administration and software packaging deployment. The software deployment responsibilities
included the packaging of internal business applications utilizing commercial
packaging tools (e.g. Installshield, SMS Installer, and WISE Professional
Installer) and developing a Visual Basicutility to insert Vbscript custom
actions into MSI files, producing dynamic unattended software
installations/removals when used in conjunction with SMS 2.0.
