· Including but not limited to supporting the production, certification and test environments for Levels I, II and III of Altiris CMS & AMS. NS 5.5 and 6.0, RS 5x, 6.0, 6.1, DS 6.x. Responsible for patch management, Wise application packaging, daily operations of the server environment, custom reports for all suite levels, release management, software delivery, customization of objects for asset management suite, asset control methodologies for procurement and loss prevention departments. Created and implemented templates for PC Transplant. I regularly create ad-hoc information (reporting) to meet the needs of the business users and other IT departments. I am responsible for training several groups on Altiris techniques respectively.
• Created and maintained the Level 2 Internal website (global intranet). This website contains up to date secure information about Dells products that are accessible to level 2 technicians only. Set up and maintained web severs under Windows NT5 AS with IIS 4 and Linux (Apache 1.3.14).
• Responsible for control and resolution of escalated issues promptly from executive services representatives (Michael Dells’ Office). This included troubleshooting any and all problems from complex hardware configurations to minuscule software settings, even those not normally supported by Dell.
• Reviewed and distributed information passed down from other functional areas including IT, Product Group (advanced product design), and Engineering. Analyzed daily data to identify emerging support, product, and compatibility problems with Dell systems. I researched and developed fixes for these compatibility problems and distribute these solutions through web tools, email and training curriculum.
ENTERPRISE PROJECT WORK

• 4 week asset management engagement. UTI had some special needs with collecting asset information from several campuses across the nation. Custom reporting and SQL work were also performed for this client.

• 6 week asset management engagement. Connector solution was used to connect Oracle procurement systems and other asset management tools with Altiris.

• 1 week custom engagement. Nike needed a better way to use data from the eXpress database connected to Altiris Deployment Solution. I wrote a custom front end and a simple reports generator and converted it to a web application. I also architected their current deployment environment for a future backup / DR plan for Nike’s 170 retail stores.

• 2 week Helpdesk implementation with focus on automation. ING required a new internal helpdesk system after migrating from a managed service provider. Design and Implementation of Altiris Helpdesk, Inventory Solution and Software Delivery was achieved and processes previously handled by their service provider was automated using complex rules and triggers with the Helpdesk system. The result was an incident management system and online service request catalogue which gave the end users the ability to log their own helpdesk incidents and request services through a web interface. As a result of the automation many requests were delegated to the correct internal departments mitigating need for a first level helpdesk worker to intervene.

• 1 week Architecture & Discussions for Helpdesk Implementation .
Description: MOOG Space & Defense division needed a complex architecture design resulting in a centralized Helpdesk implementation for a non-centralized, worldwide, multi-national and multi-lingual organization. I was able to provide a dynamic and scaleable design using Altiris Helpdesk / AD / Peoplesoft in parallel with their current CA / Novell / Peoplesoft environment.

• 1 week server and database migration.
Description: FBI Inc. had a need to consolidate all data from multiple notification servers including all asset data to a single database and a single server. This was accomplished successfully while migrating to a new 64bit SQL 2005 server. Performance increased astronomically and administration was much easier.

• 3 Week Deployment Helpdesk Implementation + Custom Real Time Dashboards
Description: WW was using an outdated helpdesk system that no longer was being produced. This implementation of Altiris Helpdesk was very successful and automation was built in for 24 hour support for workers to be able to administer tickets from Blackberry devices negating the need for a console. They also had an knowledgebase articles that were successfully imported into Altiris.

• 1 Week Deployment Solution For Dell Servers implementation.
Description: Nexa was setting up a new unmanned datacenter in the northeast and needed a solution to remotely image systems, push software and remote control. This was accomplished by installing and configuring Altiris Deployment Solution for Dell Servers on a server in

• 2 week Recovery Solution Migration and Installation + Deployment Solution Scripting for Linux
Description: Cedars Sinai already had an Altiris Recovery Server in the environment but it was outdated. I was able to upgrade their server and create a clustering environment for fault tolerance in 2 weeks. I was also tasked with helping out on some Linux scripting for Altiris Deployment Server for scripted Linux server installations.

• 3 week Altiris Recovery Solution Migration & Installation
Description: CVS wanted to build a parallel Altiris Recovery Solution Cluster and Server while simultaneously upgrading their existing server and clients. This was accomplished by creating 2 nodes of clusters and was a very successful implementation.

• 1 week CMS Healthcheck

• 4 week TMS implementation including Altiris SVS.
Description: GMO was needing a full Altiris TMS install with focus on Helpdesk Solution. We were able to get them up and going with all Altiris Solutions in about 4 weeks. One of the great benefits GMO experienced was the rapidness in which they were able to deploy Windows Security Patches during scheduled outage windows. What once took 3 days with WSUS took less than 4 hours with Altiris Patch Management Solution.

• 10 week Patch Management Implementation – 60,000 clients, 11 Notification Servers 34 Deployment Servers.
Description: By far the largest Altiris implementation I have ever worked on. Patch Management Solution was deployed and special SQL jobs and reports were developed for this client. Fidelity truly utilizes the scalability of Altiris.

• 4 week TMS Implementation with focus on Helpdesk, Asset & Barcode Solution.
Description: Point Loma was using an outdated helpdesk system that no longer was being produced. Point Loma immediately noticed benefit over their last solution because of the ability to tie their faculty and students to their assets automatically. Altiris Helpdesk was customized to fit their needs including scaled down permissions for student workers.

• 2 week CMS Healthcheck & Custom application for new hire automation implementation.
Description: DDB needed us to create a new hire automation process. This was achieved using Altiris Helpdesk with some custom forms and programming. Approvable touch points would allow a manager to request for hire/transfer/terminate an employee and monitor the progress of his request through Helpdesk. Automation was created for this process so that if approvals were given by the appropriate entities, child helpdesk tickets were created to the appropriate departments for delivery of assets, location, telecom, facilities etc.

• 7 week Altiris Asset Management, Client Management Implementation
Description: NRG was in need of a new asset management solution and deployment solution. NRG immediately saw the benefits by being able to drop ship systems to the locations for remote imaging saving shipping costs. Asset Management was implemented and immediate ROI was achieved through contract management solution.

• Altiris Recovery Solution Emergency Call
Description: FexEx had an Altiris Recovery Solution issue and I was sent onsite to

Description: A large implementation for Cybertrader, now Charles Schwab with focus on Contract Management Solution. Altiris was implemented after which managers and support staff were notified weekly of real-time license usage and reports of surplus and/or deficits in license counts.
