.Net Master’s Program (July 2010–April 2011)
The SetFocus .Net Master’s
Program is an intensive, hands–on, project oriented program where participants
add knowledge of and valuable experience putting the .Net skill set to use in a
simulated work environment.
- Developed solutions
for diverse programming scenarios in C#, employing object–oriented
programming concepts: encapsulation, inheritance, polymorphism, and
abstraction.
- Used C#, LINQ and
ADO.NET to define and implement secure middle-tier components using
connected and disconnected environment strategies. Components
consumed by web applications and windows applications utilizing SQL Server
and stored procedures to perform logical business transactions.
- Created and
deployed XML Web Services using ASP.NET and Windows Communication
Foundation (WCF). Consumed Web Services from Windows forms and
ASP.NET web applications.
- Created complex
business components in C# using .NET Class Library assemblies while
migrating and implementing in a multi-tier environment suitable for .NET
Remoting, XML Web Services and WCF Services to address application
infrastructure issues associated with building scalable enterprise level
applications used by clients.
- Developed Windows
n-tiered “Public Library Management System” application and ported the
application to a dynamic ASP.NET Internet/Intranet model utilizing the
same secure middle tier data access. Non-public web pages secured
using Windows integrated and ASP.NET forms security models.
Currently Enrolled in (July 2011-Feb 2012) The SetFocus
SharePoint Master’s Program which is an intensive, hands–on, project oriented
program where participants develop the skills and experience to implement
SharePoint solutions across a broad spectrum of business requirements. When finished with this training, my skill
sets will include but not be limited to the following areas:

February 2008 to April 2008 Hydril (a Subsidiary of GE) (Jr. Web Applications Developer/and Systems
Analyst) Duties:
·
Database Design and code
modifications. I used Java2EE in an
Apache Tom Cat Environment, along with SQL to design, gather reports from, and
manipulate data base information.
·
Developed a strong
understanding of how to use the Java
JDK, configured in Tom Cat
to load
various drivers for SQL based databases, using the Java
JDBC. In most cases form data from an HTML page was
passed to a servlet. From the servlet,
using the
JDBC a connection to a SQL data base would be formed. The data would then be passed on to the Data
base
via an SQL query in the servlet, as in the EJB Java model.
·
Used Six Sigma Analysis to
perform code reviews, implement Software Life Cycle best practice
methodologies, and perform regression, unit and system testing on the code that
I both developed and maintained.

Internet E-commerce Developer 2000
Duties: As an internet programmer I worked on a project TXU denoted EBPP (Electronic Bill Payment Services).
While assigned to the project, my duties included:
·
Developing test scripts and coding in Java Script. I developed Java Script code that performed data
validation on a set of variables before being sent to a servlet and passed on
to a database query.
·
Other duties included

able grasp the concept of using scripting languages such as Java Script to make HTML code
interactive.
·
Managed a small team that
developed a working striped down Prototype of said web portal (used for
demonstration purposes to our client).
This meant that I had to train that team on all aspects of the software
life cycle because the prototype had to fit the design specs determined by our
client. Thus, I had to use my Project Management skills to correctly
collect the specs needed to design the prototype, set deliverable time
schedules for the prototype to be finished, correctly analyze design specs such
that the prototype had correct functionality, as well as determine the
appropriate personnel to delegate specific portions of both the prototype build
and the unit and system testing of said prototype.
