SIGNIFICANT ACHIEVEMENTS:
Ø Consolidation of voicemail
platforms created extreme costs for the consolidation of associated data
circuits. Validated new DACS technology solution saving $1.3M in circuit costs
per year in 12 states.
Ø Provided vendor management,
led bi-weekly reviews with senior executives and the vendor CEO. Led a sight
visit that included process reviews, management interviews and communication
methods to correct the issues. Prepared
a technical review and planning document that established methods allowing a
vendor’s TL9000 process to meet “carrier grade” requirements. This improved the product and TAC support resulting
in $400K+ avoidance in penalties.
Ø Managed planning and
deployment projects worth $5M to completion. Initiated and led cross-function teams
of up to 12 members to successfully complete project on time and within budget.
Ø Company lacked disaster
recovery plan for the technology that provided services to customers. Part of two-man team tasked to cover
technical and financial sections.
Researched and developed the technology roadmap and provided all the
data for the systems, network and feasibility of recovery. A five year plan was completed and approved
for three million subscribers.
Ø Directed lab effort to
validate product quality and integration with company voice / data
networks. Completed integration testing
for a $14M nationwide deployment of a next generation voicemail platform,
achieving successful results and meeting project deployment schedule.
Ø Participated in
development and execution of three requests for proposal (RFPs), resulting in
contracts of $20M+. Provided technical reviews, monitoring for adherence to
objectives.
Ø Customer needed new network
services but was prohibited due to the Legacy infrastructure in place. Evaluated and selected a newly developed
conversion device from a vendor to address the incompatibility. Designed the network to accommodate the Legacy
and the newest of the systems. The customer agreed with the solution and signed
the $4M+ contract to implement.

Ø Served as technology gatekeeper

Ø A new voicemail platform
to be adopted could not be scheduled for testing by the lab. Network Reliability operations would not accept any equipment unless tested for
network integration. Acted as lead test
engineer to develop test plans, infrastructure and integration validation
work. Initiated the testing and provided
the necessary results. The $14M next-gen voicemail platform was approved and
deployed on time and integration testing effort completed which was outside of
job function.
Ø Provided technical
expertise for contract negotiations, resulting in favorable vendor support on
three occasions and revenue in excess of $30M.
