Responsible for the design and implementation strategy for information systems and information technologies across 10 USAFE medical treatment facilities (MTF) throughout Europe and Turkey.  Determine systems and software needs and works with the USAFE/SG CIO to define a long-term strategic vision and communicate this vision with SG Executive staff, MTFs, and vendors, coordinates’ information management and technology policy and procedures higher headquarters.  Represent USAFE/SG CIO positions during CIO absences, and provided daily guidance to the USAFE/SG Decision Support Service Team and medical IM/IT Staff at the 10 geographically separated locations.  Provide final-solution technical support to HQ and the MTFs, responds to leadership tasking.  Determines the need for, designs and implements network upgrades and expansions, and works in concert with USAFE and Wing communicators to design, maintain, and optimize network connectivity. Administering 18 file, print, and web servers and over 550 PCs to include wireless clients. Manage a 2.2TB Fiber Channel Storage Area Network server. Plan, implement, and manage the network infrastructure encompassing 11 facilities in the Local Area and two remote locations.  Develop and Implement unit security policy and configuration management ensuring compliance with NIST and FISMA standards and guidelines, as well as the Health Information Portability and Access Act (HIPAA) and conduct regular network security auditing.
