  • Developed offshore engineering support for periods of peak engineering demand.

Management responsibility for CAD Design, Machine Shop and Fabrication.

Responsibility included design, modification and installation support for automated ice cream processing equipment. Department supported the integration of lean and continuous improvement activities into the development of new and existing product lines.

Responsibility included managing an Advanced Mechanical Engineering design team of (7) focused on the development and manufacture of globally marketed, automated, large format, laser imaging systems for the high resolution printing industry.

Systems generated high resolution printing plates to be used on presses such as Heidelberg & Komori.

Directed the efforts of (10) Mechanical Engineers & (5) Controls Engineers.

  • Responsible for development of over 15 new OEM labeling machines in five years.

  • Led teams in the development of the “Pegasus” high speed, labeling machine for pharmaceutical and high volume products ….. 1000/ bottles per minute.

  • Championed initiatives to develop lean, more cost effective products. Some advancement included the use of value engineered polymer castings, in addition to modular, interchangeable construction technology, reducing component, system and inventory costs by as much as 60%.

  • Coordinated the technical integration of custom offshore vendor technology into the NJM line of high speed labeling systems.
