Engineer Officer (RESERVES) Aug 09 - Present
Member of a 7-man engineer detachment designed to provide engineering
planning and limited execution capability to units and organizations separated
from support assets. My responsibilities include project
oversight/management, developing contracts and scopes of work, Quality Assurance/Quality
Control, act as a liaison between contractors and military units being
supported, and development of security plans for the team when deployed to
hostile locations.

Order of the de Fleury Medal in recognition to my engineer contributions
to the US Army and the Corps of Engineers.
Executive Officer Aug 07 - May 09
Managed all logistical requirements of a 210-man company and aided the
Commander in running the company by developing all unit level plans, and
missions based on established parameters, and filling in for his
responsibilities on an as needed basis.
Managed and maintained $11M in property while directing an 11-man
headquarters team delivering logistical and administrative support. Deployed to
Iraq during Operation Iraq Freedom as part of a Forward Operating Base Mayor’s office and the Executive Officer for the Headquarters and
Headquarters Company for the Brigade. My base Mayoral responsibilities included
operating as the Mayoral engineer, liaising with the base contracting company
Kellogg-Brown and Root on matters of projects and public works on the base,
managing public works and housing for over 3000 base residents, providing
oversight and Quality Assurance/Quality Control to base led initiatives. Also
responsible for liaising with local vendors and contractors, developing project plans, contracts, and
scopes of work.

redeployed the company with all supporting equipment from the United
States to Baghdad, Iraq with zero distressed personnel or cargo.

managed over $5M in projects and supported the living requirements of
resident units.

Sapper Platoon Leader Jan 07 - Aug 07
Trained and led a 30-man Sapper (Combat Engineer) Platoon and responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of
over $1M in physical assets. A Sapper is
an Engineer who conducts combat focused missions, while being prepared to
conduct combat missions as infantry. In
this position I was also responsible for the provision of subject matter
expertise to the Brigade in breaching, demolitions, survivability, route
clearance, & general engineer operations.

and executed a week long platoon level training event called Sapper Stakes
which focused on team building, and combat engineering tasks in order to
prepare the platoon for its upcoming deployment to Iraq.

Equipment Platoon Leader Dec 2005 - Dec
2006
Managed a 16-man
Equipment Platoon and the upkeep of over $500K in assets while also responsible
for providing the Brigade with subject matter expertise on engineering operations.
Deployed to Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom where I was
responsible for the upgrading and rebuilding of FOBs throughout the south of
Afghanistan and the development of projects that supported coalition forces as
well as the local population.
- Re-developed
the force protection and survivability of a remote FOB in Shamulzai.
- Managed and provided Quality
Assurance/Quality Control for the improvement of a 50 KM stretch of road
from Qalat city to a northern FOB.
- Managed the construction & design
of multiple permanent sites on FOB Warrior in northern Afghanistan
including a church & office building.

Maintained the Battalion fleet of over 265 pieces of rolling stock
(vehicles & equipment) while managing a 35 member maintenance crew &
the maintenance standards for all equipment in the Battalion.

the Army standard in environmental compliance.
