Experience
Symbolic Systems, Inc.
– Summit, NJ
(12/12/2005 – 01/06/2012)
Data Manager/Analysis/Data Quality
(Secret Clearance) – Initially
based in New Providence, NJ performing data content analysis on Army network
data of weapons and communication systems; located at Meyer Center, Fort
Monmouth, NJ from 02/2006 to 7/2010, moved to CSC Office, Eatontown, NJ
supporting System Architecture Depiction and Initialization Databases for
USArmy PEO C3T/Pd TNI/ Network Initialization Capability Current Force; managed
data on SQLServer environment then managed transition from SQLServer to ORACLE
10g environment; initially responsible for cleanup and verification of Army
weapons and communication system configuration management; now
deriving/proposing/implementing next phase naming conventions/standards for
COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) equipment present in Army configurations as
well as Army MIL-STD196E naming. Created
change management/process database to monitor and manage changes and new system
requests; Responsible for Army weapons
and communication system configuration data management in ORACLE 10g
environments; wrote Oracle
procedures for matching data that required application of naming
conventions/standards for COTS equipment present in Army configurations as well
as local system Army organization naming.
Identified and used for materiel naming verification purposes several
ARMY wide and local Authoritative Data Sources.
Created interim processes and jobaids to manage images and data during
extended transition period from SQLServer to Oracle 10g. Due to constraints in testing environments,
ranging from Oracle 10g to Oracle XE to Access2007/VBA/ODBC developed entry generating scripts, procedures,
update scripts; many and varied ad hoc queries using Regular Expressions to
identify data and tables out of synch.
Assembled test data for major naming convention changes for demo to
System Engineer and System Architect staff. Currently assembling schedule and procedures
for testing and implementation into Production database insuring no
interruption in critical support to units in the field. Working remotely in environments located in
Texas and New Jersey.
ODBC/OO4O
MS Access front end to view two database locations in Fort Hood, TX and Fort
Dix, NJ testing implementing base collection of Army Materiel items used in
Unit System Architectures. Identified eight different candidates for authoritative
data sources for Army materiel such as LOGSA/LIW, SLAMIS, PIE, C4ISR WP and
others. Over time, this project accumulated duplicates of many
items adding to confusion. Vetting items and verification of their individual data
points including the accuracy of the image is critical to data that is
replicated repeatedly. Devising strategy
and writing scripts implementation and updates that must avoid any interruption
of production of data products for the Warfighter. Accuracy in terms of nomenclature and standards of materiel and system
composition data is a time-saver for engineers and architects and will
contribute greatly to data accuracy in current architecture tools.

additional screens for input and reporting; Coordinated software migration of
all users to same versions - Access 2002 (Access 2K table structure) to 2003;
created production and testing environment; secured permissions to shared
drives for all users. Deployed two
additional independent front ends to the production tables, one for department
