US Army JROTC Cadet, Battalion Executive Officer, Burke High School, Charleston, SC

Duties included: Managing and executing the following as a Battalion Executive Officer through the collaboration of the battalion staff:

 

·        Administration- Keeping records of individual cadets for personal conducts, accountability, and finances of the battalion with Microsoft Words and Excel.

·        Security and Intelligence- Securing US Government properties in a secure location and gathering information from other JROTC units to increase progress without encountering similar dilemmas for the Regional Formal Inspection (RFI).

·        Operations- Planning and coordinating battalion’s weekly agenda for progress analysis by using Microsoft Excel and Power Point to present during the RFI and Command and Staff meetings.

·        Supply and Logistics- Responsible for US Government properties by storing them in the supply room for inventory, issuing Government property to cadets, and screening out-dated and defected supplies to Ft. Jackson, SC with proper paper works.

·        Public affairs- Coordinating with the Operations department to publicize to local media outlets about the battalion’s progress with its community outreach initiative to recruit more cadets, so the size of the battalion can increase for more sophisticated leadership opportunities.

·        Staff Judge Advocacy- Coordinating with the Administrative department for records of disorderly conduct(s) committed by cadets, and taking disciplinary actions against cadets to the fullest extent as set by the US Army JROTC cadet regulations and TRADOC command.
