·         Provided all levels of support for the New York office. This included support for all desktops, printers, copiers/fax machines, phones, servers, network equipment, video-conferencing, Blackberries, office card key access.
·         Handled all I.T. related purchases through our various vendors.
·         Responsible for the administration and connectivity of the New York office to other offices in the U.S., Europe, and Latin America via IPSEC VPN tunnels. The office consisted of 20 physical/futures traders and 50 other office personnel.
·         Desktop software consisted of Microsoft Office 2003, Adobe Acrobat Professional 8, Symantec Endpoint Protection, in house accounting as well as trading applications. ·         Created and administered Active Directory network shares and permissions, printers, e-mail mailboxes, and phone/voicemail. I also configured the printer shares to map via Group Policies.
·         Managed migration of all office computers from Windows 2000 to Windows XP, Office 2000 to Office 2003, Adobe Acrobat v6 to v8, and Symantec Corporate Edition to End Point Protection.
·         Managed and performed migration of all office servers, Windows NT Server to Windows 2003, SQL Server 2000 to 2005, and Exchange 5.5 to 2003.
·         Maintained all corporate office servers, network devices and phone system. Servers are running Windows 2003/2008, Exchange 2003, SQL Server 2005, Virtual Server 2005, WSUS, Citrix Metaframe, Terminal Server, Blackberry Enterprise Server 4.6, Veritas Backup Exec 12, Symantec Endpoint Protection 11, and APC Powerchute. The office phone system is an Avaya IP office 412, and video-conferencing is handled by a Polycom unit.
·         Performed daily server backups using Veritas Backup Exec 12. Conducted bi-yearly disaster recovery drills with our vendor Sungard.
·         Server hardware currently consists of a mix of HP Proliant DL360 G4p’s, DL380 G5,  DL380 G4. Performed migration from older Dell PowerEdge servers to the newer HP Proliant hardware.
·         Administered and monitored all Cisco networking hardware which consisted of  a Catalyst 6513 Gigabit switch, 2811 router, Cisco 2600 router, ASA 5520 Firewall/VPN Device, Cisco PIX 515e, and VPN 3000 Concentrator.
