legacy systems into BW. The legacy
systems included Sales, Inventory, Planning and Projection, and Store
Traffic. Responsibilities included

update rules, and multi-cubes, as well as creation of queries using Business Explorer Analyzer. Extraction of legacy data required the
use of a 3rd-party tool called Informatica PowerMart.
Custom cubes were built on sales and inventory and store traffic. Building custom cubes included using the
star-schema design where
characteristics are grouped into dimensions
and key figures are grouped into a fact table, units of measures are grouped into the unit and time dimension as well as
important dates such as current period, fiscal period, current week, and
more.
