The enhancement included functionality to allow an end-user to fill out and save on his computer a .pdf document as an XML file, export the XML file to SQL Server where a SQL Stored procedure, parsed the data from the XML nodes to the applicable fields/tables and then returned the updated values to the application where the data is refreshed in the form.

Application Development
As an application developer I completed the development of two
browser-based web applications in ASP.NET 2005/C#. One is a SQL Server 2005 Knowledge Base
troubleshooting system which allows IT personnel to lookup and maintain history
on work requests for software or hardware upgrades, or any type of problem
encountered on any of the network computers.
Allows the user to search on any number of parameter values including
computer name, IP address, problem URL, nature of problem, resolution,
etc. The second web application consists
of approximately 10 ASP.NET & SQL Server Reporting Services pages and
reports to display Human Resources information on employees. The user can search by employee first or last
name, browse the entire list by last name or go directly to an name in an
alphabetical grouping list. Also
available are searches by Department, Seniority, Worksite Location, etc. The application also has an administrative
page restricted by user LoginID which allows new employee records, position
records and worksite locations to be added, marked as inactive, or updated.
Systems
Development
WebTrends – Made necessary configuration changes to the profile which captures
website page visits and hits when library patrons access any of the links to
E-Sources. E-Sources are subscription
database that PCLS pays for their patrons use so tracking how frequently these
resources are being accessed and used is important for funding reasons.
ListServ – Performed troubleshooting to determine why patrons were not being successfully
unsubscribed from the mailing list even though they claimed to have received a
confirmation. It was determined that
what they mistook for a confirmation was actually only the webpage indicating
that it had accepted their request to unsubscribe but that the email server was
never actually receiving their email due to an SMTP relay refusal between the
servers. I also added a manufacturer
supplied script which took care of the subscription/unscription problem and
provided an email confirmation upon the successful completion of the requested
action.
Maximo – Upgraded the previous version (5.1) to MRO’s latest version 6.0. Scrapped the original installation on a
Windows 2000 server utilizing SQL Server 2000 and performed a clean install on
a Windows 2003 server again utilizing SQL Server 2000 because at this time MRO
does not supporting the product utilizing SQL Server 2005 (Yukon ).
I began making preparations for support of this product in October 2005
yet as of this date, the decision on what product to actually implement is
still pending.

Profiler in order to determine areas that needed optimization, created maintenance plans to streamline
database and transaction log backups.
Peridiocally I would be required to restore data from the SQL backups.
