Junior level Network
Operator of the Air Force Network Operations Center (AFNOC), 33 NWS, 26 Network
Operations Squadron providing global management and configuration of intrusion
detection, domain name systems, boundary protection and vulnerability
assessment operations as an integral component in the Air Force's Cyber Warfare
capability. Detachment 2 is one of the cornerstone organizations in developing
and implementing counter-measures in response to Cyber threats that will defending
the Air Force Network (AFNET) from both internal and external threats while
conforming to DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG).

Liaison between
the 33 NWS at Lackland AFB and 26 NOS when there is a failover over on the
mission until the AFCERT is 100% back up. Manage and configure security devices granting
and restricting network access to over 4 million authorized users and
processes.

operate both the classified (SIPR) and unclassified (NIPR) Air Force Wide Area
Networks and the Combat Information Transport System Air Force Enterprise
