Serves as the 5th Signal Command Public Affairs Officer with responsibility for planning, designing, executing and administering a program to inform and educate the internal and external audiences about the command's programs, policies and events throughout Europe. Serves as advisor to the commanding general, deputy commander, assistant deputy commander and brigade commanders and mentors junior soldiers and civilians. Creates, reviews organization marketing strategies, command information programs and goals for integration into several key command events including this year’s Operation Solemn Promise kick-off ceremony, which met the commander’s intent of re-energizing a dialogue on values with an emphasis on accountability. Coordinates each event with a staff of 5 creating pamphlets, posters, videos, media kits and the U.S. Army Europe’s award-winning 40-page bi-annual Echo magazine. Manages the strategies, planning and coordination of each key event and summarizes the progress verbally with a presentation each week to the chief of staff during weekly command and staff meetings. As the incoming editor, completely redesigned and distributed the 40 page 5th Signal Command magazine using state-of-the art graphics with Adobe InDesign. Gathered information, wrote stories and released more than 30 news stories and 50 photographs throughout Europe. Created five commercials using Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro and Photoshop for the American Forces Network to publicize several key initiatives for the command including advertising the Signal Ball and the 119 Trouble Ticket number.

Served as the senior military enlisted advisor to the Public Affairs Director, ensuring personnel, organizational issues, community relations and news media coordination was handled appropriately. Filled Press Officer billet by editing more than 200 stories and supervising the production of the Cherry Point newspaper, The Windsock. Took on extra responsibilities during Public Affairs Director's deployment to Afghanistan, including support of the media section, JPAO representative on the Antiterrorism/Force
Protection Working Group. Created a conducive relationship with key staff and ensured all Public Affairs Marines understood their responsibilities, which contributed to effective PA coordination during airplane crash in Havelock prior to the annual Cherry Point air show. Worked with the combat camera leaders to create, market and review the goals of the internal commander's channel, Channel 6. This included the creation of a 10-minute newscast on AVID with critical weekly information, and recording quality spots  using a Sony Professional DVCAM to provide safety information to those living on base. Coordinated with key personnel and JPAO Marines to ensure deployment stories, including OIF and Desert Talon, were accurate and handled in a timely and professional manner.

Responsible for the accountability, training, supervision, leadership and general well being of 12 Marines assigned to the Okinawa Marine press section. Coordinated, planned and executed coverage of more than 500 newsworthy events throughout Japan, China, Thailand, Philippines and Australia for release and publication in the weekly newspaper, the Okinawa Marine. Reviewed and edited print and broadcast stories to ensure correct format, accuracy and compliance with policy, propriety, spelling, grammar and punctuation. Produced year-, month- and week-in-sight bureau reports shared verbally for weekly news planning. Supervised nearly 40 Public Affairs personnel from Thailand, Singapore and U.S. during Cobra Gold 2005 in Chaing Mai, Thailand. Successfully accomplished the mission as Public Affairs Chief during the 2004 Tsunami in Asia. Was the first PAO to arrive in Thailand to find workspace, cell phones, transportation, satellite communications and daily military flights for incoming Public Affairs, Combat Camera and AFN personnel. Prior to the 30-man military team, supported media escorts and logistics for civilian media including Dan Rather with CBS News, Fox News, CNN, The Washington Post and the London Times.
