As the General Manager of this 141 room (independently own and operated) property I Directed the daily operations of all hotel departments to ensure that hotel service and quality standards are met in all areas of the hotel with maximum profitability and efficiency. Overall management responsibility for the operations of a very demanding airport hotel including but not limited to profitability, guest service, sales, product quality, and overall cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel property.
This was a distressed property that also suffered severe neglect making my job extremely hard at the very beginning. Under my direct supervision this property saw many changes including the care and repair of many capital items and re-organization of staff. New policies and procedures were implemented to ensure work quality and employee accountability. A complete turnaround occurred that included increased in Medallia (guest satisfaction scores) from the mid 40s to early 90s in just a few months. Guest satisfaction and intent to return were increased therefore immediate profitability was experienced.
