·         Created documentation from technical discussions. Performed site walkthroughs and client interviews for information gathering, assisted with the development of estimates and project success using Visio 2003/2010. Documented regulatory systems to maintain compliance with regulatory bodies, including NERC/FERC CIP version 4. Led and provided technical project leadership on multiple projects simultaneously using XX methodologies, MS Project, Remedy, Maximo, and MS Office Suite to capture work effort, timeline, milestones and assigned resources for tracking purposes.
·         Monitored the network systems to maximize uptime of the network, maintained awareness of system issues with the enterprise network, as well as other IT and Business units and assisted with the development of client/business discussion points and internal upgrade considerations. Monitored product security alerts and vulnerability announcements, provided interviewing release notes for relevance and risk analysis. ·         Maintained the ASA 5500 series from the 5505 through the 5580’s in a packet filter, a remote access VPN concentrator, a VPN P2P tunnel endpoint, and as a cut through proxy filter. Provisioned both the ASA and FWSM in Layer 2 and Layer 3 modes and in single and multi-context configurations, along with failover HA both LAN and Serial based.
·         Utilized BGP for multi homed Internet presence and route redistribution. Extensively used EIGRP in Cisco routers, Layer 3 switches, and the ASA security Appliances and some OSPF in the same environments. Deployed several security and route policies with the use of Policy Based Routing (PBR) and with WCCP for WAN optimization. Utilized Frame Relay provider services for remote locations, and the network provisioning within the remote and head end Cisco routers.
·         Utilized spanning-tree layer 2 technologies from PVST through Rapid-PVST+ and the coordination of Layer 3 gateway redundancy protocols of VRRP, GLBP with extensive experience in HSRP. Some exposure to QoS policy.
·         Project Manager and Lead Technical Engineer for managing DNS and it’s migration from Microsoft to BlueCat IPAM solutions. Familiar with and configured a mixed environment of VMWare vSwitches and Nexus 1000v when working in overlapping Layer 2 environments. Provisioned the Cisco Content Switch 11500 series in a variety of configurations including GSLB balanced DNS. Limited provisioning exposure to the F5 Big IP application load balance and firewall, LTM, ASM, and APM modules.
·         Worked extensively with Cisco Secure ACS 4.2 and 5.2 for centralized AAA of networking and security devices, and the inter operation with external authentication to RSA SecurID 6.x/7.x appliances. Hands on switching configuration in IOS Switching for the 2900, 3500, 3750 (stackwise and stand-alone) , 4500 and 6500 chassis, Sup 4g/Sup 720, Nexus 1000v.
