Description: The PAMÒfor Securities system is a complex
Portfolio Asset Management system, that will record and account for all
investments in an investment portfolio, and interface with other systems for
data entry and data export. The purpose
of this course is to introduce the User to the more common setup and processing
functions that occur during a typical accounting cycle. This includes functions such as setting up
security information, entering transactions, viewing position information,
reconciling PAM balances with the custodian, and reporting.
Modules:
Positions: Enables you to open the following
grids:
·Current Security Positions – Current position records consolidated by
security ID or Creditor
·Current Swap Positions – Swap position records consolidated by Deal ID
·Open Currency Contracts – FX currency contracts displayed by settlement
date or counterparty
·Collateral Review -- Collateral position records are displayed by Repo #
·Link Positions -- Display of
derivative positions that have been linked
Security Master: Enables
you to open either of the following two grids:
· Issues _SMF or issue records
· Issuers _Issuer/Creditor Records
Cash: Provides access to these grids
related to cash activities:
· Cash Receipts and Disbursement: this accesses
every cash record that has been loaded or entered into the system.
·Current Cash Balances by Bank Account: This displays balance data by
bank account
·Current Cash Balances by Portfolio: This accesses balance data by bank
account within each portfolio
Transactions :
Enables you to open any of the
following three main data views:

Portfolio
Transactions: This accesses the Capital Transactions main data view, where each
record represents one transaction advice.

Block
Transactions: This is the Block Transactions main data view, where each record
is a block trade that has been entered to the system.

Corporate
Actions: This is access to generated block stock split and stock dividend
transactions.

Cash
Contribution/Withdrawal Transactions: this display Cash Contribution and
Withdrawal transactions that are entered by non-Mutual Fund portfolios.

Link
Transactions: This displays each link transaction. This functionality is available only if Hedge
accounting has been enabled.

Shareholder
Transactions: This data view is only for Systems with the Mutual Fund
Module. It is a list of all capital share transactions.
