NASDAQ and NYSE) projects. Developed “Feed Handler” project to handle data
coming from NASDAQ feeds and other sources and distribute it to various
destinations (files/databases/message queues/sockets). Implemented all major parts of the MPPR
project, which is responsible for receiving the data from NASDAQ multi-product
platform and FINRA’s reference data management system and storing that data
into intraday Oracle database and into Netezza data warehouse. Project successfully went into production in
May 2011 (structured products), and was extended to handle additional data in Feb 2012
(corporate and agency debt). Implemented
publishing of MPPR data to FINRA’s customer facing projects ‑report center and
billing. Developed GXT-based “Feed
Handler Monitor” to provide ability to easily identify errors/performance
problems with running feed handlers. Implemented
GXT-based UI and middle-tier for Secondary Offering Surveillance (SOS) system.

Software Development Consultant
Responsible for design and development
of digital payment solution platform with Web Services and HTML-based
interfaces. The system processes
different kinds of payments: credit/debit
cards, balances, PayPal, bill to land line phone, SMS. The system also provides a set of important
tools for merchants: administration
(users/products/subscriptions/coupons/sponsors/referrals etc.), order
processing, custom reports, end-user interface, Web Services API. The system design supports a fully
customizable workflow/presentation framework for seamless integration of the
system functionality with merchant’s sites/systems.
·
Designed and implemented highly
flexible workflow/presentation framework for seamless integration of payment
system functionality with merchant sites/systems.
·
Developed dynamic Web Service,
supported by automatic XML serialization mechanism, which allows exposing
ordinary Java methods as Web Services, and even allows merchants to implement
and use their own Web Services business logic on the fly.
·
Developed Velocity-based code
generation framework to automate creation of basic non-business functionality. Switching to automated code generation reduced
project codebase by 30% and significantly increased consistency, flexibility

July 2004
– February 2006
Java Developer
Xavex onlineTM (XOL) system is a real-time
automated pricing and trading platform for all securitized options (warrants)
issued by the Deutsche Bank across Europe and Asia .
The main goal of the project was to
split monolithic core process (for pricing and trading) into set of processes. Each
of these processes has its own subset of products. This was a challenging task due to a large
existing codebase (over 750 000 lines of java code, more than 5500 classes) and
complex business. Elements of extreme
programming which I introduced into the development process helped to increase
development performance and significantly reduce the number of bugs. After a year of my employment at Deutsche
bank, distributed architecture was put into production. As a result of this
huge success, in November 2005, our team received the “Recognizing and
Rewarding Excellence Reward” from Deutsche Bank.
·
Extended existing data access
framework, optimized basic data structures.
·
Implemented replication,
messaging and session management frameworks.
·
Developed comprehensive test
suite for all newly added functionality.
·
Participated in development of new build and
deployment procedure.
Development
platform:
Java 1.4,
heavy-multithreaded environment, in-house developed application server,
Velocity, Castor, XML, SQL, XML Sybase ASE 12.5, JUnit, Swing,
Python, Eclipse, Windows, Linux, Solaris
