Chief Information Officer
Managed 11-person staff in Europe and North America responsible for supporting IT and telecommunications systems and their roughly 700 users throughout Europe, Japan, India, Australia, New Zealand, Latin America, and North America. Identified and corrected a number of critical organizational and technical issues that hampered effective operations; administered $3 million annual budget.
§  Transformed an under-performing IT department by improving employee morale, facilitating communications among business units and technical staff, and implementing a prioritization process to ensure transparency as well as on-time, within-budget project deliveries.
§  Devised crisis management strategies to address critical IT reliability issues involving telecommunications, server room power supply, and an enterprise financial management application. Assigned crisis-specific roles to all team members; established a communications framework; received executive buy-in for all.
§  Managed the technical response to Nashville’s major flood in May 2010; restored manufacturing plant operations within 90 days, despite damages appraised at $17 million.
