PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Served as a Lead Technical Analyst to
the VisionPlus financial
software suite. Analyzed new business requirements presented by client
banks, VISA and MasterCard and designed software solutions to provide this
enhanced functionality. Created the technical design documents that
allowed new client requirements to be implemented through software
modifications.
- Supervised teams of up to
ten local and offshore programmers responsible for the coding and testing
of software enhancements. These
teams were consistently able to bring in projects that were on or under
budget, on schedule, and free of defects.
- Designed,
coded, and tested two new methods of applying payments to customer
accounts that allowed client banks greater flexibility on which customer transactions
were paid first. This provided the client banks additional opportunities
to increase profits through increased interest accumulation.
- Assisted
QA teams in the development of system test plans and test cases.
- Served as a subject matter
expert on transaction posting, payment application, and customer statements.
Frequently
provided clients and other team members with explanations on how these
processes functioned as well as provided support and reviewed new designs
impacting these areas.
- Interpreted client requirements to
create detailed technical design documents for use by programming teams.
- Supervised teams of up to five
programmers responsible for the coding and testing of software
enhancements. Created software that allowed large companies to analyze both their incoming and
outgoing call volume primarily so that the effectiveness of sales
campaigns and promotions could be accurately tracked.
- Designed and implemented a
solution that reduced the run time of the billing archival process from
sixteen hours to two hours.
- Managed several
software projects that allowed AT&T’s business clients increased
capability to analyze their network usage patterns so that they could select
the correct bundling of services to meet their telecommunication needs. Managed
all budgeting, scheduling and the oversight of daily activities. These
projects were successfully completed on time and within budget.
- Prepared risk management
and risk mitigation plans for software projects which allowed the company
to identify possible project risks and therefore avoid potentially costly
software development delays.
- Developed and tested the interface
between the hospital’s medical records system and a third party
proprietary product that translated medical records information into
diagnosis and procedure codes used for insurance billing and reimbursement.
- Constructed interfaces
that linked scanned optical images of insurance cards, checks, and
invoices to patient and vendor records.
- Designed the credit verification
portion of Convergys next generation cellular product NS90.
- Served as onsite customer
support representative at client site in Tokyo during user acceptance
testing of customized billing solution for Nippon Telephone.
