·          Negotiated and sold operational performance improvement and change management solution ($1.4M first DC – services, software, support, people/process/systems improvements) for one of Walmart’s top performing DCs.  Led the Analysis team (10 people) on a 5-week consulting engagement that generated a $1M+ return on investment (payback in less than 15 months) for the solution based on a 3% increase in their key performance indicator, CPMH (cases per man hour shipped).
·          Led the first solution implementation team (20+ people) for Walmart’s DCs (47 total in US) – follow-on implementations producing sales revenues of $30-$45M over 3 years with estimated savings/benefits of $25M/$65M/$105M in years 3-5.    

Energizer – consumer goods company operating globally in the broad categories of household and personal care products
Business challenge:  Energizer needed to increase production to meet almost sold-out demand for Alkaline Battery Division (5 plants, global)

·          Sold operational performance improvement and change management solution ($2M – services, software, support) for Energizer’s Alkaline Battery Division.  Led account development efforts across all 5 plants (Maryville, Asheboro, Singapore, Tianjin, France).  Sourced additional opportunities within their Lithium Division with upside potential of $1M+ sales revenue.
·          Led global implementation of the solution, a Manufacturing Execution System (MES solution) with change management workstreams (Kaizen, 5-whys), resulting in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) increasing from 50% to 70% (decreased machine downtime, FMEA, RCM).   Increased plant capacity generated additional $1M/year revenue across the division.

·          Managed the Analysis and Project teams for operational performance improvement and change management solution consisting of two workstreams - Plant Maintenance Planning/Scheduling and IT (1 planning location for 4 plants).  Led project implementation team for the Business Performance Management solution (powered by Business Objects) for Asset Management reporting and Balanced Scorecards.  Realized $7M in savings from reductions in expenditures - plant maintenance, contractors and overtime across all 4 plants.

Firestone Polymers – a $250M subsidiary of Bridgestone ($21B), manufacturer of high performance tires
Business challenge:  Firestone needed to improve operational effectiveness in their plant and implement a maintenance management system to move them from reactive maintenance to preventative/predictive maintenance

·          Led analysis and project team to implement a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) that enabled re-engineered processes for Plant Maintenance Planning and Scheduling and Business Performance Management capability.  IT enablement and change management solution responsible for sustainability and behavior change yielding an overall annualized profit improvement of $8M.

National Equipment Services (NES) - leader in the $25B equipment rental industry
Business challenge:  NES needed to eliminate redundancy/inefficiencies in their back office systems due to growth by aggressive acquisitions

·          Reduced administrative/operational costs across all regions, valued savings of $2M, by leading a company-wide Back Office Consolidation team and change management program that reorganized functions (Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Invoicing, Credit, Human Resources, IT, Accounting, Fixed Assets and Month-End close) into a single shared service center.

·          Designed and implemented IT portfolio prioritization and selection process – included training for Business Requirements Definitions development, project ranking/scoring/benefits, and alignment of IT programs/projects to Pioneer’s business imperatives and results.  Re-aligned IT Projects and change management solution responsible for the sustainability of $1.5M savings annually in plant maintenance and production.
·          Led SAP IT enablement project to stabilize SAP environment and provided upgrade selection process and project plans to migrate from SAP 4.6B to SAP 4.7.  SAP upgrade path recommendation represented a savings of $214,000 in hardware, software and maintenance fees from 2004-2006 and provided a more supportable and sustainable SAP environment to run their business.
