  • June 2004 – Till Date: McSEN Software Technology Pvt Ltd, Hyderabad.
Working for the past 2 years in the field of Embedded Software development. Involved in various projects and at various phases of the development. And also having hands on experience of Embedded debugging tools.

SUMMARY OF PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN

#1 Driver development for UART Controller in an ARM926 based SoC.
o   Team Size. 2 Engineers.
o   Language.  C
o   RTOS. NUCLEUS
o   Responsibilities. Involved in the design of software architecture and software development of UART controller.
  • Description. UART Controller is used for transferring/receiving data in serial form to/from another UART Controller. The current SoC is having one UART Controller in it. And this is used for sending Debugging Message to HOST PC. This driver provides certain API’s to send data from Embedded environment. It is something like printf function in the regular PC environment.  The actual details of the implementations are hidden inside the UART Driver. The developers of the other modules on this SoC can use this Driver to debug their embedded software.

#2 Design and development of Hardware Control Layer (HCL) for Inter IC Communication (I2C) Controller in an ARM926 based SoC.
o   Team Size. 2 Engineers.
o   Language.  C
o   Responsibilities. Involved in Design of the HCL software architecture and software Development.
  • Description. I2C is a bus specification, which defines a protocol for communication between different Integrated Circuits on any board. The current SoC is having two I2C controllers and both can be configured independently as either Bus Master or Slave. In this project we have developed Hardware Control Layer API’s for Controlling and also for sending/receiving data through these I2C controllers. This HCL hides all the Specific Details of the I2C controller. So that any upper layer modules can use these API’s for communicating with the other IC’s having I2C controllers in it. 

#3 Baseline JPEG Encoding Software.
o   Team Size. 1
o   Responsibilities. Understanding of JPEG Baseline Standard and implementation of implementation of JPEG encoding software in C.
  • Description. JPEG is a standard defined for storing Images in compressed format. The current development was carried out into two steps. First step was development of software that will encode the given images JPEG baseline format so that any standalone JPEG Decoder is able to decode this compressed images. It has the capability of encoding monochrome as well as color images in JPEG format. The second step was to proper portion of this software into control and data processing modules so that it can be ported easily on to any SoC that contains microprocessor and DSP processor.

Projects Done during Embedded Training 

#1 Transfer of file between two computers using RS 232 cable.
o   Language.  C
  • Description. This project aims to transfer file between two systems using RS 232 serial communication throw UART. First UART in both the systems are configured to same baud rates and operating modes. And one system is configured as transmitter and the second system is configured as receiver
#2 Bank Data Base creation and maintenance.
o   Language.  C++
  • Description. The aim of this project is to create and maintain accountholders information in bank. For this I create three different departments by using classes named as saving, withdrawal and Loan. The information in each department can access only the employees of that department, others are not allowed to access .The employee list of each department is maintained in three files. The information regarding account holders is stored in binary file. In each department I wrote program such that to display current balance and updating the balance.  All these departments can access manager.

·        Presented A Paper, “Online Temperature Monitoring System Using Embedded   Technology” In A National Level Technical Symposium.
·        Organizing member of a National Level Symposium.
·        Stood First in class till 10th Std
